About the role


As a sales intern you will be supporting the Sales activity of the Team on the German Market. Meaning you’d have to generate new leads, convert them into prospects and follow the sales and reporting activity of the Team.


The internship is referred to Students / young Professionals who are interested in starting up a Career in Sales in an international environment.


Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in Berlin Area through the cooperation and support of our Senior Growth Manager EMEA
  • Participate in sales meetings and development of new strategies
  • Visit clients to pitch Meritocracy and demonstrate the product
  • Identify specific trends and market forces that may result in changes in Meritocracy’s acquisition strategy and fine-tuning of the business model
  • Monitor and report on business development KPIs
  • Researching potential leads from web searches, or digital resources
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients on company CRM



Requirements

  • Curiosity and knowledge about Startup/Digital ecosystems
  • You are a great communicator and possess strategic selling and negotiation skills
  • You have an entrepreneurial attitude, react quickly to change and always keep the strategic goals in mind
  • You are proactive and you have no trouble in taking your own responsibilities and working in a team
  • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • German language would be considered a plus but it is not mandatory
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
