Description
Mission: The Demand Planner will implement, drive, manage and execute all sales forecasting activities for EMEA Region. The candidate will create and maintain forecast models for all the product categories and geographical areas, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. Reporting to: Operations Manager (EMEA)
Main Responsibilities:
Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons;Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results;Interact with sales analysis, sales and marketing, to understand demand forecast drivers; Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions;Set, use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool;Work closely with the Supply Chain team, particularly providing input to Procurement and Distribution Planning.
Skills Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in the position, preferably in multi-channel Companies
- Engineering, Economics or Statistics degree
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Knowledge of Excel, SAP, APO or other software related to demand planning is preferred
- Strong analytical mindset
- Good negotiation skills are required
- Excellent team working skills
