Why is this role important for N26’s work?

This role is critical to our business because you will help the Experience Design team and the overall organisation generate actionable user insights to reveal opportunities for the future. We’re looking for someone who can make a big impact by leading with their curiosity while remaining grounded in research methods that observe people to uncover their basic needs and values.


Once here you will:
  • Work closely with product and design teams to identify research topics
  • Design research studies that drive tactical and strategic product decisions
  • Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate solutions
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews, contextual field visits, usability studies) and a subset of quantitative methods
  • Apply your own craft: constantly iterate on our research approach and methods
  • Train designers and other team members on how to conduct research
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, engineering and marketing
  • Practice communicate methodology, presenting results and illustrating suggestions in compelling and creative ways
What you'll bring along
  • 5+ years of experience in applied product research
  • Strong storytelling experience in user research
  • Experience with survey design and response effects
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of qualitative and user-centred design methods
  • Ability to ask and answer meaningful and impactful questions
  • Experience working with large-scale data in multi-method studies
  • Experience with applied statistics
