N26 Bank offers the the first bank account in Europe that you can manage entirely on your smartphone. We recently received our own banking license, and we've raised more than $53 million from investors including Earlybird, Horizons Ventures, Battery Ventures and Valar Ventures.
Our vision is to create world's best bank experience. We set the standard for mobile banking with our N26 app. It creates a new banking experience with features like fast paperless signup, real time money transfers, cash deposits at merchant stores, worldwide money transfer, investing and getting an overdraft at your fingertip. We want to enable customers to run their entire financial life from their phone and are building a true pan-european bank based on smart products.
YOUR ROLE
- You shape our technology vision and add new features to our powerful REST API (you like active coding)
- Build and lead an international backend team and also have an eye on the frontend development process
- Remaining agile in a world where every transaction counts pushes the limits of engineer practices
- You are responsible for developing and improving our backend
- You work closely with the product manager and other developers
- You leave your footprint and take part in the company’s Expansion
YOUR PROFILE
- You should be comfortable with ownership of projects, opinionated about technology but quick to recognise the value of opposing ideas.
- Able to take unclear requirements and work with product managers to define the result
- You should be interested in the Software Development Lifecycle that enables painless releases
- Able to own, drive and mentor a Java 8 project
- Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, SQL and security methodologies
- A plus would be: experience of online banking, core banking and processing systems and protocols, OAuth/cryptography, microservices and/or containerization.
- Fluency in English, German is a plus

DEINE ROLLE
- Du gestaltest unsere technologische Vision und fügst neue Features zu unserem leistungsfähigen REST API hinzu (Du magst aktives coding)
- Gestaltung und Leitung eines internationalen Teams und Überwachung des Frontend Entwicklungsprozesses
- Souveränes Verhalten in entscheidenden Situationen, welche einen an die Grenzen der Ingenieurspraxis bringen
- Du bist verantwortlich für die Entwicklung und Verbesserung unseres Backends
- Du stehst in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Product Manager und anderen Developern
- Du hilfst das System zu definieren und NUMBER26 bei dem Wachstum zu unterstützen
DEIN PROFIL
- Du bist vertraut im Umgang mit eigenen Projekten und hast eine gefestigte Meinung im Umgang mit Technik, die dich jedoch nicht daran hindert den Wert von anderen Ideen zu erkennen
- Du solltest Interesse an einem Softwareentwicklungsprozess haben, welcher einen reibungslosen Veröffentlichungsablauf ermöglicht
- Fähigkeit ein eigenes Java 8 Projekt auszuführen und zu verwalten
- Kenntnisse in Spring, Hibernate, SQL und Sicherheitsmethoden
- Ein Plus wäre: Erfahrungen im Online Banking, Core Banking und in der Entwicklung von Systemen und Protokollen, OAuth/cryptography, Microservices und/oder Containerization
- Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift komplettieren Dein Profil
