Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer for the development and maintenance of algorithms to analyze big and small data coming from multiple sources, including device sensors, IoT, and third-party APIs, having multiple formats, granularity and update frequency. Your primary focus will be data modeling, analysis and development of scalable machine-learning algorithms. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy and fine-tune data collection and storage of huge amount of data

• Design, develop and deploy scalable machine learning systems

• Design, develop and deploy real-time and batch data analytics


Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases

• Proven knowledge of related AWS solutions (Athena, Kinesis, Glue, ElasticSearch, EMR...)

• Working knowledge of the big data ecosystem (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Hive...)

• Knowledge in data mining and data analysis (Python, R, ..)

• Understanding of neural networks and other AI technologies

• Ability to rapidly come up with prototype solution by using also an unconventional approach

• Ability to present complex information in an intuitive and efficient way

• Propensity to teamwork and knowledge sharing

• Passion and curiosity about data and hidden information
• 
Master in computationally intense disciplines (Computer science, physics, math, statistics...) or equivalent studies
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Java and familiarity with data visualization tools will be considered as a plus.
