Group Tax Lead

We are excited to offer the position as our Group Tax Lead to a passionate team player in our disruptive global finance team. You will shape this role within a flexible and dynamic working environment where every day is a different game. Being an enthusiast in your field of expertise, you will ensure daily compliance and proactively contribute to the challenges of a young and rapidly growing company in the area of direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing activities and other international tax issues. Together with our new Group TP & Customs Lead, you will build up the new team that defines how we are doing global taxes, inter-company businesses, transfer pricing and customs and you will have the chance to personally grow with the role.

• Take responsibility for global direct and indirect tax compliance in close cooperation with finance team members, external service providers (centralized VAT compliance shared service center and local tax consultants) and local tax authorities
• Ensure monthly preparation and filing of the recurring VAT/GST declarations and annual tax returns in different countries
• Establish and monitor VAT/GST registrations across all our global markets
• Shape On’s tax function and further develop the group’s tax expertise (globally/locally) by setting group policies and providing guidance to local finance leads and other departments (daily business and projects)
• Contribute to build and grow On’s center of excellence for taxes and customs to become a strong global functional lead
• Challenge current processes and implement state-of-the-art technology solutions realize continuous improvements and automation opportunities to the tax process

• Great passion for and several years of experience in direct and indirect taxes
• Willingness and ability to take ownership in both daily compliance and project related tasks
• Proven ability to adapt to changes and to dig into technical details and translate complex technical issues to non-experts
• First experience or high interest in dealing with international transfer pricing and/or trade & customs matters
• High affinity for processes and IT systems, including the ability to dig deep into the numbers
• Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and German
