The Senior Designer is responsible for driving thisvisionary creation and advise the development on highest level to bring a striking product to life. With a high-quality and detail orientated mind coupled with a passion for contemporary aesthetics and innovation, this position will be part of the creationof tomorrows effortless running apparel. You will have several years working in design teams with experience through long complexed processes. You embrace challenges and take initiative to fix them striving for best in class product alwayspushing for better.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and suggest a strong contemporary mood, drawing the future ON
- Apparel vision to Head of Apparel.
- Research of striking imagery and 3D references in regards to vision, items, shape and body fit, materialisation, colour compositions, detailing, graphics.
- Lead the Design process with Head of Apparel and suggest On Performance and Active Apparel across all product categories of menswear and womanswear, that enhance the company`s identity and market positioning.
- Handsketching to visualise quick ideas of silhouette, proportion or details.
- Elaborated technical packs and detailed explanation for your Development teamplayer.
- Lead and collaborate in all fittings to advise and challenge the product development process to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Research and source innovative, upscale materials and trims.
- Fast mock-ups of shapes and quick 3D tests to visualize an idea or detail
- Very hand-on experimenting with material, detailing, finishings and clever closing systems
- Liaise with internal expert teams and external business partners.
- Champion process’s, constantly improving, tweaking and building upon the current process.
- Own and design ON Performance Running Gear and Active Wear ?
- Provide leadership and mentoring to staff, setting and reaching goals and provide feedback and guidance to increase both individual and team productivity.

Bachelor’s degree or above in fashion design.
Excellent level of technical skills is a must, such as profound knowledge in pattern cutting, garment manufacturing and material performance.
Expert skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Microsoft Office.
Passionate about translating and realising the On design vision into a refined and leading product.
Highly ambitious to drive the On product to its highes quality level.
Structured and hands-on working attitude with a flexible and open mind for visionary solutions.
International experience is a must
Minimum 8 years’ experience in design teams with at least 3 years in managerial level.
Outstanding Apparel experience in high-quality products in outerwear, pants, jersey and ideally in knitwear for mens-, and women's wear.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Broad market overview and a solid understanding for the contemporary design world.
Able to work at a fast pace and think and react quickly with the ever changing environment
