Software Engineer Platform Development (m/f/d)

On-Running, the most exciting and fastest growing global running shoes brand, is expanding its Tech Center in the heart of Berlin and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer. You will work in an agile and cross-functional team together with other full stack engineers, Product Owner, DevOps and QA. With experience in building high-performance software, you will contribute by building state-of-the-art web applications and platforms. 

In our brand-new technology hub in Kreuzberg, Berlin, we’re focused mainly on engineering and we continuously develop our platform using agile development practices. We have a multi-national and open company culture with over 35 different nationalities among our 350 employees, we operate in a booming market, have interesting projects, modern tech-stack, good parties and, last but not least, we are enthusiastic and motivated about our work and products.

You’ll work in close collaboration with our teams at our Zürich HQ (Switzerland) as well as  teams in Portland (USA) and Yokohama (Japan).

You will be part of a cross-functional development team that implements features from design to deployment, being responsible and in charge of the full process and delivery. You have a lot of freedom to be creative and experimenting with new technologies. • Finding the best solutions together with business stakeholders, having simplicity and efficiency in mind
• You will be responsible for implementing new features, making them run in production and improving the overall quality of the code base
• Develop a good understanding of On’s core business 
• Lead and mentor junior colleagues with your experience and seniority

• + 4 years of software development experience in a professional environment
• All around knowledge of Software design, Patterns, Clean Code principles and SOLID
• Proficient in either Python, Go, Apex, Javascript, Java or PHP
• AWS management and Salesforce (Heroku) experience
• Experience in RESTful APIs, Message Queues, High Volume Low Latency data transfer concepts
• Ability to work in a UNIX-like environment
• Proficiency in English 
• As a Bonus: Salesforce Developer Certification or experience, having worked with Salesforce (SFDC) including Apex, VisualForce Pages, Triggers, Workflows, Approval Processes, Batch Jobs
