We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to come and support the Technology client group across our business. This is a pivotal role, acting as strategic advisor to the VP People, CTO and the wider leadership team on all things people related, to make sure the business takes the right decisions, at the right time, in the right way.

The link between humans and business performance has been hugely well established at Onfido, and the experience we give our people is at the heart of that. Onfido is in hyper growth mode, and that brings with it a wealth of projects and initiatives that this person can develop, drive and execute at a global level.

You will have full ownership of partnering Technology; building strong, deep and wide ranging relationships across a multitude of stakeholders. We’d love for you to have a technical mindset, to help us drive forward our strides into people analytics and to take full ownership of important things like our salary benchmarking review.

Your mission will be to:

Create a harmonious, thriving community of people at Onfido by making sure that those people get to bring their whole selves to work.

You’ll achieve this via:

  • Coaching managers to attract, retain and engage top talent, providing input on the People implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans, acting as an integral member of our Technology groups management team.
  • Developing true, trusted and ever developing relationships across business leaders both within and beyond the Technology client group.
  • Helping identify and then implement change management initiatives critical to business results with the focus on total business success.
  • Becoming our subject matter expert on the way we manage performance within the organisation, leading and iterating on the current review process, developing and delivering thoughtful rewards and recognition strategies, taking full ownership of our salary benchmarking process.
  • Guide leaders on sensitive employee relations matters anchored in our company values with a steady focus on performance, engagement and retention across your day to day partnering activities, using the right balance of coaching, challenge and support.
  • Deliver on business-critical people related projects including the roll out of key strategic company wide initiatives.

To do that you’re going to need:

  • Leadership capability. The ability to provide leadership, clarity, and purpose bringing people on the journey, building trust and driving effective cooperation.
  • Analysis/critical thinking. Able to structure analysis, asking the right questions and focusing on the right data to generate genuine insight on which to build plans.
  • Strong communication skills. Possesses the ability to operate at Executive level, influencing the rationale for the evolution of our People team and managing highly demanding stakeholders. A coaching mindset should com naturally to you, particularly when leading others.
  • Agent for change. Capacity to drive change in a rapidly changing environment, made complex by dispersed geographies, market-based organisational design and multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • High level of resilience. A level of resilience and conviction to persist in driving the development of the Talent function and delivering projects to completion, despite setbacks or obstacles
  • Relationship building. The capacity to partner and establish strong relationships across multiple, cultures, functions and locations, internally and externally.

Skills:

  • The ability to understand business goals and the confidence to recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the way the business is thinking to inform how we get clear on our objectives and support the productivity and success of our people.
  • Hands on with all you do, and a special talent in successfully monitoring the "pulse" of the employee and business to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Commitment, drive and determination to deliver projects in a rapidly scaling, easily project derailing business environment; balancing the need for project delivery with the ability to pivot where the business requires it.
  • Proven knowledge and practical application of HR practices and employment laws with the ability to articulate complex issues to all audiences.
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment and comfortable thinking not just outside of the box but being prepared to construct completely new ones.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience at management level.
  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programmes; experience and interest in reward programmes is an absolute must!
  • Will be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment, helping to craft a workplace eco-system that feels fabulous for everyone within it.
