Job Description

The Associate Director, Programmatic Solutions Consulting EMEA will be responsible for consulting Publicis Media agency brands and clients on their data-driven marketing approaches, including support for programmatic ad tech stack development, expansion of agency and client-specific programmatic capabilities, as well as progression of agency- and client-led programmatic operations and best practice.

This role reports to Director, Solutions Consulting within the Precision EMEA Solutions Consulting team, a practice within Publicis Media. The role supports the Publicis Media agencies and other Publicis Media Practices, Strategic Partners, and clients to create integrated solutions to solve each client’s most pressing marketing challenges, working in concert with Agency, Product Management, Analytics, Operations, and other teams.

The Associate Director is an energetic individual who possesses a combination of strong analytic, problem solving and client facing skills, working as an integral part of the PM Precision practice. The role requires the ability to proactively identify opportunities to leverage programmatic data and technology to solve business problems, and importantly influence and deliver expertise at a senior level throughout the agency and direct to clients.

PM Precision

PM Precision is Publicis Media’s data-informed, tech-enabled trading practice. Precision helps brands reach audiences on highly viewable, fraud free media. By applying best in class data and tech capabilities, Precision delivers a more efficient ad-tech supply chain with curated inventory and data. Precision encompasses agency-embedded teams that provide greater strategic alignment with clients and buying teams. Agency teams are supported by a centralized team for shared resources, best practices, tech audits and partnership management. Precision spans product strategists, marketers, solutions consultants, activation specialists, ad-ops and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

Ad Tech Consulting – Client specific

Support the delivery of bespoke client ad tech consulting projects across both pre-sales and post-sales delivery.

Pre-sales

  • Help drive consultancy partnerships with ad tech vendors including joint pipelines, sales collateral and ways of working
  • Working with Directors to identify opportunities and requirements with agency brand client leads

Post-sales Delivery

  • Help shape the post-sales implementation process, delivering project status updates and redeveloping project scopes as required
  • Responsible for timely delivery of assigned adtech projects

AdTech Consulting – Internal

Support the agency teams and central practice teams with deploying data-enabled and programmatic services.

  • Understand and embed newly developed solutions across agency teams and clients, to help drive client development
  • Produce material and content such as inspiring presentations and case studies to help illustrate the value of the Precision business proposition and subsequent solutions that are accessible for agency teams and clients
  • Develop initiatives and solutions to encourage and track adoption and scaling of solutions offered

Ad Tech/Programmatic Solutions Development

Support the agency teams and central practice teams in driving the growth and innovation of data-enabled and programmatic service offerings by developing new solutions and capabilities.

  • Work with relevant teams to identify requirements and opportunities, and feed these back to appropriate regional and global development teams
  • Work with leading vendors to ideate and innovate for Precision, to ensure that Publicis Media agency teams and their clients has access to market leading solutions
  • Support agency teams and clients with technical input for solution deployment. Develop solution documentation and training materials to ensure effective launch

Team Management

  • Managing day-to-day work and long-term personal development of team members
  • Showcase leadership and drive with the team

Knowledge

  • Be an expert in advertising technologies such as DSPs, SSPs, Exchanges, DMPs, Ad servers, Ad exchanges, verification technologies, cross-device tracking technologies, website analytics systems, DCO, etc.;
  • Understand the standard workflows and metrics involved in digital marketing programs including how to traffic a media + data campaign, calculate cost (CPM, CPC, CPA), and measure performance (ROI, ROAS, CTR, CPA, AOV, RPV, Conversion Rate, etc.)
  • Be capable of inventing and architecting complex technological solutions to solve specific marketing challenges.
  • Participate in new business meetings / pitches as Subject Matter Expert representing all possible uses of the Platform in marketing programs.

Experience Required

  • +4 years of experience in ad tech, programmatic and data-driven marketing roles
  • Technical and problem solving mindset
  • Team management and leadership experience
  • Experience in analytics or statistics based further education or employment role with a consultancy focus
  • Possesses a charismatic, engaging personality and can successfully interact with senior/executive level client contacts
  • Be influential at a senior level and be a self-motivated operator, comfortable with navigating a matrixed global organisation
  • Experience with delivering complex technical content to large groups, in a coherent, accessible and inspiring way
  • Has the ability to grow client relationships through new strategies and innovative ideas
