How you will make a difference:
As a Legal Intern at Showpad's Chicago office, you will work closely with various members of our teams on initiatives. This position will directly support key projects within the US teams and have a chance to present summer work to key leadership
At Showpad we are looking for a Legal Intern who is driven, agile, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be eager to take on a variety of challenges and will work well within a dynamic team.
The life of a Legal Intern at Showpad:
- Support our in-house attorneys in legal research and writing, compliance and legal risk management, and general administrative matters
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
- Work with legal counsel, sales and professional services, and sales operations to support business processes
- Collaborate with other corporate departments including, marketing, sales, finance, culture, and others as required
- This position involves a significant amount of multi-tasking
- Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Prioritize effectively, work under the direction of a supervising attorney, and interact well with clients, staff and vendors
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
Requirements:
- Productive and efficient, including the ability to distinguish between material and non-material issues
- Ability to accurately spot issues and formulate solutions with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid business judgment, motivated, and a self-starter
- Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; with strong attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
