About the positionThe Sales Director Mid Market is responsible for leading a team of Account Executives (AEs). Her/his team will be responsible for growing sales at our existing customer base in the UKI & Nordics region, and establishing and expanding our business within those customers. Candidates considered for this position must have a proven track record as sales leaders and a drive to challenge the status quo.


The successful candidate will have a clear vision of their own goals and career path, a desire to be part of a dynamic team environment of growth and change, and the ability to coach their team members to overachieve their revenue and career development targets. The market covered by this position includes existing Showpad accounts across a broad spectrum of companies in the EMEA region. The expectation is to create viable high-quality sales opportunities, help move those opportunities through the entire sales process, and support the Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and AEs to complete the sales.


Key responsibilities as a Sales Director at Showpad


Team management: Recruiting of talent, coaching the team and helping AEs be successful on a day by day basisTalent development: investing in the long term success of your team and helping them grow to be more successful in their role and their careerPipeline management: Together with the AEs do regular deal and pipe-line reviews to stay on top of current opportunities and forecast accuratelyHands-on deal involvement: Mastering Showpad’s solution and how to sell it to provide support to AEs in deals and accelerate deals by connecting at an executive level at our prospectsTracking of sales metrics and reporting to VP sales on regular basisDeliver results: Hit the ARR targets set by company managementSet-up processes for account management: build the processes required to establish and scale a team that grows strategic accounts after the initial contract has been landed


Skills and Qualifications we are looking for● Minimum 8 years' prior experience in solution selling and guiding teams via sales methodology best practices. Prior experience within a large, complex sales model helpful.● 3+ years' successful people management experience in (inside) sales, ideally within SAAS sales or enterprise level software selling. Prior experience with Cloud offerings preferred.● Proven track record of year-over-year team quota attainment.● Proven success in direct sales (unique quota-bearing) as an individual contributor.● Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills, including prior experience presenting to c-level management. The ability to prioritize as well as multi-task is key.
