Head of Financial Crime (MLRO)

At the moment we are looking for the digital age MLRO. This role gives a fantastic opportunity to the right candidate to join our data driven product environment with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting edge user experience on KYC and AML/CTF prevention while promoting compliance culture and good relationship with customers, regulators and banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Examine and contribute to existing policies;
• Champion efficient and customer friendly KYC, AML & CTF processes and controls;
• Maintain and expand relationships with regulators, banks and financial institutions globally for sending and receiving money;
• Challenge status-quo and inspire innovation across the business;
• Understand and adopt new technologies and processes in customer verification, compliance, fraud prevention and payment processing;
• Understand and improve the product funnel through better compliance tech & policies
• Build dynamic risk-assessment frameworks;

• Identify new opportunities for enhancing/streamlining processes;
• Assist in launching new markets and products;
• Regularly assess and report business risks to the management and board.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in financial crime prevention;
• Strong and extensive experience in fraud prevention;
• Solid experience in building a risk based approach;
• Established relationship with regulators and banks;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Highly technical and scientific individual;
• Interest in new technologies and process automation;
• Passionate to building better products through innovation in compliance.
