We’re looking for a Fraud Team Lead to join our growing team in Tallinn, Estonia. Joining one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe your team will play a key role in preventing financial crime and helping to keep our customers safe. You’ll receive a salary of €1900 plus generous stock options, private healthcare and other benefits.


Your mission:


  • Lead a team within Fraud Prevention and Operations to ensure we meet our goals and help prevent financial crime in our day-to-day operations
  • Handle and monitor operational processes and implement new ones where you see problematic areas
  • Develop and maintain measurement metrics for Fraud Prevention and Ops
  • Hire, onboard and lead your team members, conducting regular quality assurance and/or training when needed
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure that your team’s objectives are being met and fraud risk areas are taken into account within different projects and products
  • Communicate with external third parties to ensure a working partnership between fraud teams across different service providers and partners

You’ll also help our product teams by identifying:


  • Any blockers in the product that result in issues for our customers and reduce the speed and effectiveness of our Operations team
  • Any improvements that could be made to our product – either features or functionality to ensure quality and value for our customers
  • Participate directly in the fraud product design process, to identify gaps between Operations expectations and product functionality as early as possible

A bit about you:


  • You’re an expert in your field and you have a high level of (fraud) product knowledge working directly within fraud teams
  • You’re great with people and have knowledge and experience of leading people within operational teams in compliance, customer operations or financial institutions
  • You’re strong with numbers and can explain this to your team members
  • You’re analytical and have a strong attention to detail
  • You put our customers, your team and TransferWise first
  • You love learning new skills
  • You have a solid knowledge of compliance structure and processes, plus a passion for risk management
  • You have the right to work in Estonia

  • A programme manager of a compliance officer position
