Group Product Manager - Onboarding

Description

We’re looking for a Group Product Manager to join our growing team in London. Leading several teams, you’ll help customers and businesses around the world onboard with TransferWise from their first interaction with us to their first saving. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on TransferWise’s mission, grow as a product leader and help save millions more people money.

Your mission:

TransferWise is already pioneering new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking. As a Group Product Manager, you’ll lead a group of teams working on our onboarding experience to help millions more customers and businesses save money and time. 

You’ll start your journey embedded within our Conversion team working with designers, developers and analysts and you’ll enable the team to make informed decisions and inspire the team to prioritise what impacts our customers most. You’ll develop to take the lead over this group of teams, helping our other product managers to grow their impact on our mission.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to our customer onboarding experience:

• You’ll delight millions of customers as they onboard with us - from the moment they land our platform, through to making a transfer and all the steps in between, they’ll know what to expect with a seamless journey
• You’ll set new convenience, transparency and security standards for consumers, freelancers and small businesses
• You’ll move us away from the financial industry’s dated security solutions to frictionless ones, saving precious time for our customers  
• You’ll partner with our Government Relations team to help regulators increase transparency in financial services
• You’ll clearly define success and evaluate your goals with both qualitative and quantitative methods, running A/B tests and guiding an analyst to improve the conversion funnel

The role will give you the opportunity to:

Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across TransferWise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls

About you:

• You’re a seasoned product manager that has shipped products, interpreted feedback and data and made important iterations. You’ve gone through plenty of product cycles, over multiple years, so you know what to look out for and how to overcome problems
• You believe in the TransferWise mission and know how to inspire a team to dream big, align on a common vision, and draw a clear path to get there
• You have a strong design background and pay attention to details —  you’re passionate about shipping high-quality software, user experiences, and interfaces on web and mobile
• You have solid technical understanding, and can help a team prioritise and ship new features
• You’re committed, organised, and share your ideas and product decisions 
• clearly. You help others make the right choices fast

Some extra skills that are great (but not essential):

• A passion for UI/UX design and/or analytics skills
• Basic back-end development/database skills
• Some SQL experience
