People Learning and Development Specialist

We’re looking for a People Learning and Development Specialist who can help us create opportunities for our employees to connect, grow and own their TransferWise journey. You’ll work alongside our Budapest People Operations and Office teams and be part of our small but mighty global People Development team.

This is a unique opportunity to support our leads and employees and to provide a phenomenal and consistent experience across TransferWise.

Your mission:

• Locally: Local facilitation of People Development activities like our Lead of Leads training as well as identifying learning opportunities, building content and hands on delivery.  This can also mean lining up speakers, getting groups together and hosting events and proactively working with leads (especially new leads) on topics like building a high-performing team and helping their team to develop.
• Globally: Own elements of the global content and programs on behalf of People Experience. Owning it means iterating, making it widely available, integrating diverse feedback and measuring success. Programs/content include new lead onboarding, training for leads, our employee happiness survey, and content on our intranet.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Choose your own path to success - you’ll be the first People Development team member in Budapest and you’ll have the freedom to define the vision and the responsibility for making it happen
• Be creative in how you approach and tackle challenges and you’ll have the support to think outside the box
• Be challenged - Budapest is our second fastest growing office so there’s lots to learn and lots to do - you’ll be working with leads and employees and using data to help expanding teams develop and achieve their collective and individual goals.

A bit about you:

• You’ll be experienced in learning and development within the workplace (or a similar environment) and in identifying learning needs
• You’ll have extensive experience in developing creative and engaging training/content e.g. workshops, training sessions and programmes
• You’ll be a confident and engaging facilitator and communicator, being totally comfortable in front of both small and large audiences
• You’re an adaptable self-starter and use your initiative to keep things running at a pace without waiting for answers to come to you
• You’re comfortable with generating, understanding and interpreting data
• You love to coach and support others, with demonstrable examples of when you’ve had success
• You’re a natural people person who can build trust and rapport with ease.
• Legally authorized to work in Hungary. Sadly we cannot support visas for this role.
