Data Analyst, Student Worker

Every month, half a million new reviews are posted on Trustpilot for thousands of businesses in our review community. We have now reached almost 30 million reviews from consumers around the world. Things tend to move fast at Trustpilot, particularly our global growth and presence. With this rapid growth also comes a massive amount of data, which we can use to greatly improve our products, user experience, internal systems and customer insight.  

We are seeking a Data Analyst Student Worker to join our growing Data Analytics team in Copenhagen.  The analytics team supports different departments within Trustpilot with clear and insightful analysis of the big data at hand, including consumer data, product usage data and data from our internal systems such as Salesforce.  

About the Role

You will be part of a small team within our 100 person Technology department, where teamwork, creativity, learning and having fun are a normal part of everyday work life. In addition to working with your team members, you will also collaborate with many people from across the business to help solve problems and enlighten others with your data skills and reporting. You will be analyzing large data sets to create reports and analysis that will help us to understand our business and our customers. We will provide some of the latest analytical tools and resources for you to work with, such as Chartio, Amplitude and Amazon Redshift. This is a student position, so we anticipate you working around 15 hours per week.

 About You

• You are studying for a degree (preferably Masters level) in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science or similar
• You are curious about data and its commercial applications and keen to learn about technology
• You are quick to learn new tools, techniques and methods
• You are highly numerate, able to spot patterns in complex data, and feel confident to independently work with very large data sets
• You can understand and write SQL queries
• You are able to create clear, easily understood, visualisations of data
• You have some knowledge of R
• You are a good communicator, and able to explain complex results in plain language
• You have strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
• You are motivated and keen to learn
