Site Reliability Engineering Manager

Description

As our next Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will provide team leadership for building and running large-scale distributed systems. You will need to develop your team to grow and raise the technical bar. Does this sound like the right challenge for you?

 The Role

• Manage a team of SRE Engineers and be responsible for Trustpilot’s strong uptime record.
• Manage on-call rotations.
• Write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Trustpilot’s services.
• Lead by example, care for your team and establish credibility with the quality of your and your team's technical execution.
• Own end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence
• Contribute towards evolving our CI/CD pipeline
• Report on our service levels to ensure high availability. (Strong focus on Business Uptime)
• Daily communication and strong collaboration across all teams
• Drive innovations that improve system availability, security, and performance

Your Profile

• Self-starter
• Experience with Cloud Operations and Site Reliability
• Experience with managing or leading an engineering team on large-scale projects with technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and/or storage.
• You excel in maintaining and monitoring highly available and high-volume websites and APIs
• Competent with scripting and automation.
• A working knowledge of AWS and/or other PaaS solutions
• Ability to thrive in a lean, dynamic and agile international environment
• Strong interest in Serverless all things SRE related. (We don't expect you to know it all but we would love it if you do)
• Hands-on with SRE related tools (eg. CLI, Auto-scaling, Automation)
• Generally curious to improve things all the time

The Team

Currently, the SRE team is spread across our Copenhagen & Vilnius offices.

We are all skilled team players and extremely passionate about cloud automation. We work in close collaboration with all our other teams to ensure optimal use of our cloud infrastructure.

Methodologies such as Agile, Scalability, High Availability and Microsevices come as second nature. You’ll have the opportunity to further establish our cloud automation efforts and bring fresh ideas towards global backend scale.
