Job purpose :
In this role you will help shape the digital future of Eastpak by partnering with both internal and external stakeholders to drive and exceed our eCommerce financial results by executing the Eastpak eCommerce merchandising strategy.

Your role is to trade the website and merchandise products according to seasonal categories and stories defined by the retail marketing calendar.

Together with your manager, you constantly focus on improving execution of the most compelling online assortments and merchandising initiatives and deliver online sales and margin plan.

MORE DETAILS - A DAY IN THE LIFE OF  


As a key member of the eCommerce team you will be responsible for:

* Drive financial results by maximising sales and margin, inventory sell through and bottom line profitability by understanding the brand needs and product assortment.

* Participate in the development of the website with the aim to deliver great usability, 'on brand' shopping experience and inline with the digital strategy

* Categorization, filtering, cross/upselling, keywords and site search maintenance facilitating efficient product search and reinforcing positive brand experience

* Ensure an effective and data driven visual merchandising while overviewing collection launches

* Work closely with the digital marketing team to create the online brand experience and match the retail seasonal and promotional activity

* Work with buying and merchandising team for the eCommerce seasonal product buy, online exclusives, and additional stock initiatives.

* Manage inventory to cover stock needs to meet customer demand and financial goals.

* Merchandising product listing pages by country

* Build and share reports on merchandising initiatives with key stakeholders on a regular basis

* Manage ecom calendar around pillars; exclusives, brand stories, collaborations, seasonal launches

* Align & communicate with other departments to create & execute the calendar

* Work with team to gather product assets including images, product description and technical information for new collection launches. Validating all product content.

* Participate in UAT for new capabilities and improvements as well as bigger projects such as re-platforming onto Magento 2.0

* Work with online customer service team to analyse returns figures and reasons.  


Required skills to be succesful

* Minimum 3 years of experience in an eCommerce or digital environment with a focus on merchandising, coordinating and achieving business results

* Preferably a Bachelor or university degree or equivalent through experience

* Proficiency in written and spoken English and at least one other European language. Knowledge of more languages is an asset

* Ability to prioritise workload

* Excellent time management and deliver to deadlines

* Deliver work with accuracy and to the highest standards with an eye for detail

* Strong communication skills

In this role as a front-end developer located in our Swiss office in Stabio, you’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of our customer facing website experience supporting Napapijri’s digital engagement objectives. You will be expected to use the latest web development methodologies and techniques to create engaging, interactive and often animated web experiences and assets. A good design eye, attention to detail and accurate executions are required. You’ll be required to use Javascript, HTML & CSS and leverage appropriate libraries, frameworks and plugins to implement a variety of front-end projects. 

In this role you will be reporting to the Digital Experience Manager and you’ll be responsible for:

* Supporting our team in day-to-day website updates, landing page development, testing, and editing needs.

* Development and implementation of digital front-end objectives, working closely with designers to create engaging web pages, user experiences and unique digital brand assets.

* Work with designers to suggest and build animations, effects, engaging interfaces and elements using native and non-native browser technologies and libraries.

* Implement banners, content updates and e-marketing spot requests, utilizing responsive web design best practices.

* Deliver cross-browser, functioning and responsive code building upon the Digital Platform’s CMS using ready-made components, custom layouts and external libraries and tools.

* Create issue and feature tickets for improvements, platform bugs and conceptualize of components to platform development teams.

* Development of A/B testing for several areas of the website.

* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

What you need to succeed?

* 3 years plus of digital creative agency experience or equally relevant digital development portfolio.

* Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

* Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

* Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries/frameworks, including jQuery

* Good knowledge of managing Restful API

* Demonstrable experience with browser based animations: Understanding of various methodologies and libraries utilizing native (CSS & JS) and external libraries/tools to achieve the best outcome.

* Familiarity with CMS and ecommerce platforms

* Familiarity with SEO concepts

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
