A/P Accountant

VF Corporation is looking for an A/P accountant EMEA to join our Accounts payable team based in Antwerp, Belgium.

Let’s Talk about the Role

As A/P Accountant your role is to monitor the internal purchase orders and incoming invoices in our Purchase Order (PO) system Coupa. You will be the key contact person for our Lease and project vendors.

You will be responsible for the monthly A/P closing and analyze all open balance sheet accounts in the Blackline program. You will perform analyses on outstanding PO’s and invoices in collaboration with different VF Teams:  

GL accounting, local Finance Management and the different brand teams. In this role you will report to the A/P manager and will be in close contact with the business to assist them with AP related questions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze PO’s in Coupa
• Book and pay incoming Lease and Project invoices
• Monthly A/P closing activities: accrual and prepaid accounting
• Monthly analyze open Balances in Blackline
• Pro-actively seek for improvements.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements in the Accounts payable process.

Skills for Success

• 0-5 years experience in a finance/ accounting role
• Accounting/Finance diploma or bachelor’s degree
• Good Excel knowledge
• Coupa, Blackline or SAP knowledge is a plus
• Fluent English (both written and spoken), Dutch is a plus
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
• Interest to grow and explore further potential roles in finance
