Let's Talk about the Role

The Junior Digital & Privacy Counsel supports the DPO & Senior Digital Counsel, the DTC & Privacy Counsel EMEA, and the rest of the Law Team, with all digital compliance related activities, with specific focus on GDPR, e-commerce, retail compliance and technology contracts, delivering both project management and substantial legal advice, under the supervision of more senior team members.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will support the DPO & Senior Digital Counsel, the DTC & Privacy Counsel EMEA, and the re st of the Law Team with the following activities:

Contribute to Multi-jurisdiction GDPR, e-commerce and retail compliance projects.

Monitor relevant legal developments on digital business and privacy in EMEA.

Draft VF’s digital compliance policies (GDPR policies and procedures).

Draft e-commerce terms and conditions

3rd-party compliance, with focus on outsourced data processing, data transfer arrangements, services agreements involving data processing and/or technology procurement.

Support VF’s EMEA business teams with their DTC journey, including by providing legal advisory on sales & promotional activities, omnichannel transformation, loyalty programs, by attending meetings, drafting contracts and business-oriented memoranda.

Enact privacy procedures lik e Privacy-By-Design assessments, DPIAs, DSARs, data breach management, etc.

Audit technology and practices across VF’s organization, planning remediations.

Help educate VF’s personnel on digital compliance topics.

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

Master's degree in Law.

Solid knowledge of European data protection and consumer protection and e-commerce legal framework.

At least 2-3 year experience in law firm and/or in-house with digital compliance-related assignments, preferably in an international environment.

Proven self-organization and project managemen t skills.

Proficient in English. German, French, Italian are an asset.

Enjoys analyzing complex issues, doing research and writing.

Enjoys teamworking and socializing in a diverse, inclusive and multi-cultural environment.

Proactive, meticulous, reliable.
