GENERAL SUMMARY

We are looking for an outstanding Manager, Merchandising Workwear to join our Dickies team.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Let’s talk about the role!

Your role is to build assortments and collection plans in line with the Dickies strategy and by obtaining a deep understanding of the target consumer, market situation, needs and product performance. You translate the results of these analyses into a seasonal Merchandising Plan with strong briefing/guidance towards the Global Product Development team in order for them to translate this briefing into a physical product offer.


Job responsibilities


Insights and Analyze / Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data:

* Consumer: understand the needs of the target consumers to inform innovation roadmap and seasonal product opportunities

* Competition: develop clear understanding of competitive environment – strengths, weaknesses, positioning - by regular field visits and desk research

* Market: maintain constant awareness of market requirements by networking and visits of our sales team as well as visit to key accounts

* Sales: continuous follow up of the sales forecasts and performance of each channel and category

* Product: in depth analyze of the product life cycle and SKU efficiency

* Financial performance: control margin performance, FOB evolution, set price points and manage the pricing strategy accordingly

* Global: Understanding global needs of the worker to support global product alignment targets


Plan:

* Collaborate with global team to ensure consistency, efficiency and strategic alignment of global/regional product lines

* Map clearly the market situation per category and areas

* Define potential growth areas and/or missed opportunity

* Translate the insights into a seasonal merchandising plan (Blueprint)– framing the product offer linked to the ideal distribution

* Define and plan the special projects calendar – in terms of collaborations and SMU


Brief:

* Develops seasonal merchandising strategies/plans/briefs, assortment plans and key tactics to achieve regional IMS, segmentation and financial targets.

* Work in close collaboration with Global Design and Development department to translate the market needs into physical projects

* Ensure deep understanding of the brand values, strategic and creative visions to combine with future EMEA workwear direction

* Ensure consumer needs are at the core of your range selection with an overarching fit for purpose brief

* Constantly assess and redirect the seasonal developments and designs following the line meetings and key players feedback

* Provide EMEA WW specific needs to inform both regular track and potential SMU development

* Responsible to link with our different sales partners to create collaborative working methods

* Ensure that the brand Marketing team is briefed, has the requested content, and build the marcom tools according the original creative direction of each project


Execute:

* Guarantee the execution on GTM strategy for each seasonal launch, prepare and present in global GTM meetings

* Assure a correct implementation of the collection through merchandising guidelines and products/collection sales sheets

* Deliver and support presentations to the sales force for local meetings, collection previews and trade shows

* Ensure a constant evaluation of launched items by seeking market feedback and product performance check

* Follow up closely with the partnering contacts – negotiate contract terms – follow legal requirements – ensure GTM implementation.


QUALIFICATIONS


What you need to succeed?

* Min of 5-6 years’ experience in a Product /Merchandising position, strong preference for preferable in direct experience in EMEA Workwear industry.

* Strong people manager

* Be able to think strategically and execute tactically, possess a persistent attention to detail

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Commercial acumen

* Analytical skills: Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data is key
