Let’s talk about the role!

The Senior Digital Trading Analyst is responsible for analysing vast amounts of data to better understand and predict trading trends and customer behaviour that in turn informs business decisions.

You will have the full ownership of Timberland EMEA digital trading analytics informing digital Trading, Marketing, Buying, Planning and UX teams with actionable insights focusing on ongoing conversion rate optimisation.

The role is responsible for designing an appropriate methodology, accessing and analysing large amounts of data, and synthesising findings into insights in trading patterns and customer behaviour. The work takes the form of strategic ad hoc projects, as well as more routine reporting to measure the effectiveness of commercial strategies and tactics.

Primary accountabilities:

  • Regularly liaise with the eCommerce trading, Buying & GTM, merchandise planning and digital marketing teams to implement the right analyses/insights based on business needs
  • Field ad hoc requests for customer analysis, acting as an analytical thought partner to the business stakeholder, and assigning the appropriate analytical approach
  • Conduct advanced customer & trading patterns analyses and arrive at compelling data conclusions, including but not limited to country-level, product category, digital acquisition channel, customer segments and studies into recruitment and retention trends
  • Translate data findings/trends into actionable insights to better understand complex shopping behaviour and present analytical findings in easy-to-understand presentations, making clear recommendations based on deep insights into the data
  • Own, design, develop and distribute customer reports and dashboards that clearly track the effectiveness of strategies underway
  • Implement formal modelling processes from end-to-end including data gathering, data profiling, numerical model building and cross-validation
  • Advise on experimental designs to ensure new business strategies are tested appropriately and without bias; assist stakeholders in parsing results, arriving at conclusions and advising on next steps
  • Act as a subject matter expert on best practices in eCommerce customer & trading analysis
  • Work closely with VF central team & third-party vendors as needed to ensure integrity of data and analyses being provided

How You’ll Make a Difference…

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related field.
  • At least 5 yrs. of relevant work experience in fast-paced eCommerce/retail environment
  • Highly performance driven and result-oriented team player with strong business acumen
  • Be a Timberland Brand Ambassador
  • Strong proficiency with Business Intelligence & Analysis software (Cognos, Tableau,..), Microsoft Office Suite and Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture)
  • Good understanding of eCommerce customer journey & digital marketing principles
  • Excellent communication skills influencing cross functional teams and senior stakeholder
  • High maturity in managing organisational complexity and effective communication
  • Strategic and operational decision-making
  • Language skills: fluent in English. Any other language will be a plus
