Job purpose :
About the Job

Hey there, my name is Jo – I’m the Head of Product Marketing here at Wooga in Berlin. As one of the first Wooga employees, I’ve seen the company and the Mobile Games Industry growing, from the humble beginnings with the launch of the App Store in 2008 to a market that generates over US$37m per year. In a crowded market like this, having a great IP and a consistent package is key. At Wooga, we want to go one step further: We set out to create IPs that could actually become movies.

While the game teams focus on creating really great and fun game experiences, it is our job to bring those to the players. With over 6 games in the pipeline right, there’s a lot to do for you. Any global launch requires a large set of assets, video trailers, micro-sites, and other promotional material.

As our next Senior Marketing Artist will be involved in all aspects of producing these materials, from conceptualisation to execution. You will not only execute on those materials, but also shape the way that our potential players see the games and create an amazing experience from the very start on. If you feel like you’re up to the challenge, we’re excited to meet you!

  • Work within the Product Marketing Team closely with the game teams to create great Marketing packages for upcoming games
  • Design of online marketing campaigns, user acquisition banners, AppStore packages based on existing characters and artwork for game launches.
  • Ongoing design creatives and templates for engaging, eye-catching Community Management posts.

  • Who we are looking for

  • Strong sense of visual/design composition.
  • Good opinion on compositions, marketing materials, character designs
  • Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Illustration skills for coming up with rough sketches and character compositions based on game art direction.
  • Iterative working process which readily integrates feedback from other team members.
  • Proactive, motivated and capable of working effectively with sometimes tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to gather information and resources from various Wooga departments.
  • Experience from working in the games industry or entertainment industry is a plus
  • We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
