Job purpose :

Wooga is a data driven company. We, in the Data Engineering team are operating the data pipeline. We are integrating user behaviour data, marketing data and app store data and make it accessible to game teams, marketing teams, finance and management. In collaboration with engineering teams and Data Science we are building a personalisation platform that enables us to provide a tailored user experience to our players.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • You will contribute to our player segmentation and clustering service.
  • You will collaborate with our data scientists to productionalise their models. 
  • You will build, improve and maintain our data calculation and visualisation tools.
  • You will redesign our data pipeline in Airflow.
  • You will operate our data infrastructure. We are strong believers in a “DevOps” setup, meaning there is no separation of development and operations. You will build tools and services that do not fail, but if they fail you will be able to fix them.

  • You have profound knowledge and experience in Scala and/or Python.
  • You consider yourself a true generalist. You thrive in learning new tech when you need to, or switch stacks when required by a new project.
  • You are familiar with cloud services like AWS, know the benefits of systems like Kubernetes

    As a VP of Finance, Legal and Facilities, you will be leading a team of passionate, dedicated individuals, guiding key financial decisions and contributing to the Company’s strategy and future initiatives.

    You will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team, composed of seven senior managers, and reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the finance, legal and facilities departments.

    About the role

  • You will be overseeing all Wooga’s Finance operations, including company-wide budgetary planning, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Group Reporting to our Parent Company,
  • You will be updating and implementing financial policies and procedures. All the while ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial information conforming to statutory regulations and legislation.
  • You will provide other senior managers with interpretation and analysis of complex financial information, as well as developing models to assist the management team with investment decisions in new and existing products.
  • You will provide leadership, direction and, develop performance measures that support the Company’s strategic direction
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with key members of the Parent Company’s management, as well as service providers and contractors, including banking institutions, external counsel and auditors.
  • You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a team of senior professionals across Finance, Legal and Facility Management teams.
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company’s financial, legal and compliance risk profile
  • About you

  • You have several years of experience in leading and building successful Finance teams, delivering a finance centre of excellence, preferably in an international, digital company.
  • You are a hands-on leader, always ready to jump into the daily work, wherever needed, while maintaining a positive attitude that inspires your team to face the day-to-day challenges
  • You are detail savvy, who understands data privacy standards, and is capable of translating raw data into a clear and concise presentation, even in layman’s terms.even in layman’s terms.

    Job purpose :

    As a Frontend Engineer (React.js) at Wooga you will work independently in a fairly small team that empowers our game teams by building all of the tools that they need. The products you build are used internally and empower other Woogas. With a generalist but broad technical knowledge ranging from javascript, react, typescript and electron (Atom Shell) to working with services like aws, google and github, you help us provide the tools our game teams need to keep bringing delightful story driven games to millions of players.

    As a member of our tools team you will work on projects including but not limited to:

  • Building internal dashboards aggregating live data from different sources (google, github, artifactory, s3) by combining it with a state-of-art bootstrap react interface (no css!) to observe and interact with our custom build infrastructure for our own sdks, games and documentations.
  • Working on internal tools based on typescript, electron, react and bootstrap to drive content for our story-driven games.
  • Extending our internal tools & pipelines to improve Marketing and User Acquisition KPIs.
  • Providing Git version-control support.
  • Configuring and optimizing webpack builds.
  • Developing new APIs.
  • About you
  • You have a few years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Proficient user of typescript, javascript and react.
  • Experienced with writing tests using Mocha/Chai/Jest/ enzyme.
  • Experienced with API design.
  • Passionate about games.
  • Basic experience with the unity game engine, a plus.
  • Your written and spoken English is good - no German skills are required for the job, but we will help you learn if you want!
