About the internship

This exciting internship position, which is part of our Young Talent program, is open to students currently enrolled in university. As part of the program, you will join one of our game development studios and become a fully integrated team member. Here you will learn how we develop games and advance your skills through a combination of instructed training and hands-on experience. You will quickly be given your own projects where you will have the opportunity to contribute towards the improvements of our games. You will be able to bring in your own ideas and realize projects that will be played by millions of players all around the world. You will work on the development of our newest games based on Unity for iOS and Android.

Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor or masters students currently enrolled at a university in a Games Programming (highly preferred), Computer Science, or similar program  
  • You must be able to dedicate at least 6 months to the internship and must be enrolled as a student during this entire period
  • Previous experience working with Unity 3D
  • Knowledge in any of the following a plus: mobile development, C#, Objective-C, Actionscript, Ruby, OOP
  • Extraordinary achievement in your studies
  • Strong affinity for social media, particularly social games
  • Eager to code with an ability to learn fast and familiarize yourself with new subjects areas
  • Good product and design sense
  • A ‘getting things done’ mentality
  • Excellent English communication skills and a strong capacity for teamwork
  • The ability to work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment
  • As English is our office language, no German skills are required. But we’ll help you learn if you want to!

    We are looking for a concept artist for the next generation, hidden object game.

    Concept artist in Wooga is working closely with our story writers, product managers, and game designers on creating art of highest quality, that our players around the world will love!

    Some of your responsibilities include:

    As a Senior Engineer you will work be an essential member of one of our cross-platform game teams on mobile. You will be working on developing high quality mobile games that reach millions of players.

    Working within the team you will work across all areas of game development including UI, AI, Gameplay etc and using your experience work together with other engineers, product and art team members to raise the bar.

  • Build high-quality games for mobile platforms
  • Code in all areas of game development to make a complete product.
  • Work in a team of up to 20 including Engineers, Designers and Artists with a chance to make a real impact on the game's roadmap.
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Bring your knowledge and experience to the company, sharing methods, best practise and mentoring junior team members.
  • Who we are looking for
  • You are a Unity developer with a proven track record in mobile games development
  • You have a number of years of Experience with the end to end process of creating a mobile game using Unity
  • You possess a strong knowledge of Gameplay Programming in Unity
  • You write excellent code in various languages such as C#
  • You are able to work well in large, cross-functional teams
  • You have a solid knowledge of communication with backend services
  • You have worked with version control systems
  • You possess a sound knowledge of agile development principles and automated testing tools

  • Build high-quality, intuitive user interfaces
  • Improve existing features and systems

    We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys building high quality products used by millions. Ideally you have a good product sense, strong personal initiative and the ability to prioritize. You can multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

  • iOS developer with a proven track record of app development
  • Experience working with Objective C
  • Good understanding of OOP, Algorithms, Design Patterns, Code Optimization

    Wooga’s adventure studio is known for its high-quality visuals, as can be seen in games such as Agent Alice and Pearls Peril. Now, our very exciting June’s Journey team require a Lead Artist. In this role, you will lead an enthusiastic and talented art team to consistently produce work to the high standard we have established.

    An art lead in Wooga motivates and nurture their team, ensuring consistent delivery of value to our players. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and mentoring our internal artists, as well as providing guidance and advice to our external teams.
  • Providing high-level guidance on the art style and vision of the game.
  • Ensuring that the style is consistent within the project while setting and communicating explicit expectations of the highest quality of work.
  • Maintaining relationships and transparency with key stakeholders; writers, game designers, programmers etc.
  • Being a hands-on part of the art team, producing and creating assets.
  • Who we are looking for

  • Proven experience of creating game art for a published game, from conception to release.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of artistic and visual creativity.
  • People management experience and practical knowledge of leading an internal team of 5+ artists.
  • Great communication skills, you know how to mentor, engage and motivate your team, while ensuring constant knowledge exchange.
  • Experience in collaboration with other functions of the company, like Product, Engineering, Design etc., as well as working with external teams.
  • Nice to have:
