About the internship

Wooga presents an amazing opportunity to build a strong foundation for a career in User Acquisition (UA). We are looking for an analytical, enthusiastic individual to join our UA team as an intern. In this role, our team of professionals will train you to manage the daily operations of the department, which directs millions of dollars per month across multiple platforms – iOS & Android on Facebook, Google AdWords, Apple Search Ads and more – in pursuit of Wooga’s ROI-Driven UA goals.

What you’ll do
  • Support and learn from a team of User Acquisition professionals with experience in and out of the games industry
  • Direct collaboration with Head of UA to build a world-class creative testing process and reorganize assets
  • Coordinate with UA team, external partners, and finance team to define and implement new network tests
  • Work with creative team to build polished creative assets in appropriate sizes for live networks
  • Weekly creative analysis
  • Identify strategy and tactical tweaks to better support ROI goals
  • Who we are looking for
  • You are in the last semester of your study program (Bachelor or Master) or have graduated in the past six months
  • You have at least 6 months time to dedicate to an internship
  • You have permission to work in Germany
  • Ideally, you have studied a quantitative discipline - if not, you have a strong desire to transition into a quantitative field
  • Excellent written and spoken English

    As a Data Engineer, you will be an essential part of our Data team. You will be working closely with various teams including data science, engineering, and game teams, to ensure that we collect and action the data in the best possible way. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • You will be developing and improving our tracking infrastructure
  • You will be building Big Data solutions
  • You will be supporting our game teams to track the data that they need to evaluate new features and improve our games
  • You will be working on the improvement of our in-house A/B-test solution
  • You will be supporting our team of data scientists, by providing them an infrastructure helping them be as productive as possible
  • You will ensure data consistency and quality. You understand how our data pipeline work. You will ensure and help the game teams to stay consistent with it.
  • You will operate our data infrastructure, making sure it’s performant, reliable and runs smoothly.
  • About you

  • Ideally, you have more than 3 years of experience in the Data Engineering field
  • You enjoy building stable and scalable data pipelines, processing a mass amount of data every day
  • You know that KAFKA is not just an author ;)
  • You are familiar with cloud services like AWS and know the benefits of systems like Kubernetes or platforms like Airflow
  • You love data. You enjoy digging into stuff, and working on a challenge until it is solved.
  • You have a good understanding of basic analytics and machine learning concepts
  • You have heard of, and ideally, have used one or more of the programming languages we use: Python, Scala, Java, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Lua, or SQL

    Job purpose :

    UI Artist in Wooga is working closely with Producers, Product Managers, Designers, Developers and other Artists on creating an exceptional user experience, approachable for a wider audience than ever before, that players will love. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • You will work closely with the designers to create interfaces for concepts and new features.
  • Design UI animations and transitions for both iOS and Android devices.
  • Execute all visual design from the concepting stage to the implementation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and community management teams to produce new assets to engage our users with.
  • Maintain the consistency of the existing style, constantly optimize it, and create new ways of making it more exciting.
  • About you

  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating solid graphic design knowledge

    As a Senior Game Engineer, you will be an essential member of one of our cross-platform game teams on mobile. You will be working on developing high-quality casual mobile games that reach millions of players. Moreover, you will work across all areas of game development including UI, AI, Gameplay, etc. Our ideal candidate is a team player who looks forward to working together with other engineers, product, and art team members to raise the bar.

    In addition, you will:

  • Lead teams in building high-quality games for mobile platforms
  • Code in all areas of game development to make a complete product
  • Work in a team of up to 20 including Engineers, Designers, and Artists with a chance to make a real impact on the game's roadmap
  • Participate in design and code reviews

  • Who we are looking for
  • You are a Unity developer with a proven track record in mobile games development
  • You have around 5 years of total engineering experience, including at least 2 years of experience with Unity and C# development and one year in a leadership position of a development team
  • You possess a strong knowledge of Gameplay Programming in Unity
  • Experience mentoring other team members and the desire to not only continue doing so but teach others in your team to be great mentors as well
  • When developing, you keep in mind both the player’s mindset and business impact
  • You are a collaborator and are able to work well in a cross-functional team
  • You have a solid knowledge of communication with backend services

    You’ll help shape the look of the game and contribute your own style to it by:

  • You are super passionate about designing great UI for mobile apps, particularly for games
  • You are always glued to your mobile, playing with the heart of a gamer but the head of a designer
  • You have an evangelical appreciation for user experience and interaction design
  • You are a good communicator and you can impart all of your modern wisdom to us old-fashioned gamers regarding everything that is important about the mobile experience
  • You are up to date with all of the latest techniques and technologies, including
  • Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Prototyping solutions such as Proto IO, Proto Pie, or Adobe XD
  • Extra points for 3D, Animation, and After Effects experience, as well as experience with implementation in Unity or other game engines
