About the job

We are currently working on a new Hidden Object Game, and the key to a successful game in the genre is creating environments and scenes our players love. To do that we need strong 2D Artists who can create environments from concept to final product that match the theme and story.

If you enjoy creating beautiful scenes in 2D that give life to game and story this a role for you.

  • You will join our hidden object game studio creating environments for one of our upcoming games
  • Based on an idea or location be able to concept and deliver final quality environments.
  • Working with a team of talented artists you will create a realistic and engaging scenes that will combine with props to make an engaging hidden object experience.

  • Social Media Manager

    Job purpose :
    Wooga is the maker of a number of well-loved games including hit titles like Diamond Dash, Jelly Splash, and Pearl’s Peril – more are always on the way. As a Social Media Manager at Wooga, you will be responsible for engaging our audiences by creating captivating social media content and inspiring email campaigns with the goal of establishing and growing positive, engaged, and loyal communities that transcend the confines of the game.


    What you will be doing

  • Actively engage with new and existing players across all relevant social media platforms (and sometimes IRL)
  • Collaborate with our in-house artists and designer, create compelling and engaging content for game events, game updates, competitions and more
  • Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to plan, design, and execute community marketing campaigns in coordination with game events/release schedule
  • Monitor competitors and benchmark activities against competitors and the gaming industry in general
  • Track, report, and analyze results to shape future initiatives
  • Continuously explore new ways to reach our players outside of the games themselves
  • Cooperate with the Player Experience team to escalate any potential technical issues to the development team

  • Who we are looking for

  • You have a minimum of 2 years professional experience managing large online communities, preferably game-related
  • Experience leveraging different Social Media channels and creating out-of-the-box ideas and campaigns that tailor to their specific audiences
  • Experience with Social Media scheduling, reporting, and analytics tools
  • Proven success in Social Media metrics optimization
  • Copywriting skills, proven across different channels
  • Basic knowledge of creative software (esp. Photoshop)
  • Basic familiarity with email marketing & push notification campaigns and best practices
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service mindset: You put the player first and actively listen to their feedback to both improve your work and provide insight to the business

    About the internship

    This exciting internship position, which is part of our Young Talent program, is open to students currently enrolled in university. As part of the program, you will join one of our game development studios and become a fully integrated team member. Here you will learn how we develop games and advance your skills through a combination of instructed training and hands-on experience. You will quickly be given your own projects where you will have the opportunity to contribute towards the improvements of our games. You will be able to bring in your own ideas and realize projects that will be played by millions of players all around the world. You will work on the development of our newest games based on Unity for iOS and Android.

    Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor or masters students currently enrolled at a university in a Games Programming (highly preferred), Computer Science, or similar program  
  • Previous experience working with Unity 3D
  • Knowledge in any of the following a plus: mobile development, C#, Objective-C, Actionscript, Ruby, OOP
  • Extraordinary achievement in your studies
  • Strong affinity for social media, particularly social games

    We have very interesting technical challenges to solve, some numbers from our live systems are: 5 million SQL + NoSQL queries per minute, more than 10.000 http requests per second and a read/write balance close to 50/50.     Who we are looking for

    We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys building high quality products used by millions. Ideally you have a good product sense, an understanding of the web ecosystem, strong personal initiative and the ability to prioritize. You can multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

    Specific language experience is less important to us than bringing on someone with a desire to learn and who can solve problems.

  • Proven experience with any backend language (e.g Java, Ruby, Scala, PHP, etc)
  • Very good understanding of systems engineering, scalability, and algorithms
  • Database knowledge, preferably with relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience implementing APIs
  • Knowledge of server management (deployment, monitoring, optimizing, etc.) a plus

    We are looking for an experienced game producer who will join us to build an highly-functioning, motivated, dedicated and skilled team to deliver an exceptional free-to-play mobile game to our highly competitive industry. We know we’re asking a lot, but we’re willing to wait for the best and when we find that person then we’ll give them everything they need to deliver.

     

    What you will be doing:

  • Lead full interdisciplinary development team through all stages of production.
  • Manage team members on a structured budget and results-driven development process.  
  • Own overall schedule and project deliverables for the team.
  • Rally the team and the broader organization around a product vision and guide a high quality commercial launch of the game.
  • Identify and prioritize efforts, features and content that will deliver outstanding quality and performance.
  • Create a culture of excellence and high productivity.  Foster an environment where you and your team members love to work every day.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders at all levels of the company and drive progress through executive gate reviews.

  • Organize and drive the development pipeline of content, features and art.  Drive the overall throughput and collaboration of team disciplines.
  • Drive effective decision-making. Collaborate with your discipline leads to Identify risks, formulate mitigations and move development forward through uncertainty.
  • Produce the soft launch of the game, and drive best possible decision on commercial viability of the product.
  • Be an advocate for the team, and a collaborator inside the company. Connect with fellow  product leaders at Wooga, share your wisdom, and listen to their feedback.

    Your experience:

  • Eight or more years’ experience in games, at least one product shipped full cycle as lead or senior producer.
  • Has built games-as-a-service, IAP-driven games on mobile platforms.
  • Has created content-driven games, demonstrable experience working with multi-discipline including art, narrative and game design.
  • Strong experience managing scope, cost and risk around complex consumer software products.
  • Strong understanding of business model and customers of free-to-play casual.
  • Experience with external partners / outsourcing a plus.
  • Experience developing original IP and new casual brands a big plus.
