At Wooga, our Data Scientists play an instrumental role in driving the successful development of our games, and our ability to reach new audiences. Our Publishing team ensures that our games can grow and reach new audiences every day. We are looking for a Data Scientist to sit at the intersection of these two teams; using new Data Science methodologies and our wealth of data to identify opportunities to expand our reach and optimize the efficiency of our marketing efforts. Some of your responsibilities include:
- You will lead projects to understand, segment and predict the behavior of players acquired across our portfolio
- You will have real impact on resource allocation and marketing strategies through building data products and providing insight into user acquisition economics
- You will use advanced analytics and statistical techniques to improve speed and accuracy of forecasting to enable better optimization of marketing spend
- You will proactively drive improvements of, and provide education on, our analytics tools across the business
- You will help coach and train more junior members of the team in both technical and soft skills
- Communication will be a vital part of your work -- you must be able to translate complex analyses for diverse audiences!
About you
- You have a degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g.statistics, economics, computer science)
- You have 2+ years professional experience in data science or a related analytical field
- You have an understanding of digital marketing channels and the dynamics of user acquisition
- You have a deep understanding of commonly applied advanced statistical and ML techniques and have shown that you can apply and adapt these techniques to a range of situations
- You have experience coding in Python
- You can use SQL effectively to query large volumes of data while accounting for messy or missing data
- You are passionate about games and can think analytically about what makes a game great!
