Game Design and Production Internship

Do you want to bring the next hit game to life? We have the perfect opportunity for you at Wooga, an international casual games developer where the titles you work on are played by millions every day!

You will be fully integrated into a team in the production stage of development of Wooga’s next simulation game. From day one, you will be empowered to be an active member of the team, entrusted with tasks to make a great game even better!

You will learn how we develop games and update your skills through a combination of instructed training and hands-on experience. You will quickly be learning directly in the game working on its mechanics and balancing, as well as have the chance to use your creative skills to influence system designs and game content. Eventually, you will also take on broader Game Design tasks, including designing new features and gameplay elements.

• Game Design (social, narrative, systems, exploration/experimentation, UX)
• Product Management (internal playtests, user tests, focus tests, quality control, monetization strategy, competitive analysis, games research)
• Creative (World & Quest Building, Live Events, Assets Brainstorming, Internal and External Game Interactions)

Basic Qualifications

• You must be enrolled in a full-time higher education program in Game Design  or similar discipline. At this time, we can only process your application if you will be enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship.
• You must love casual games! You should be gaming industry-savvy, showing an ability to cast a critical eye across the simulation genre and understand what works and does not work
• You should be an excellent and active team player
• Excellent communication skills in English (As English is our office language, you do not need to have any German skills -- but if you want to learn, we will help you learn!)

Additional Skills

• Experience with simulation games for the casual space
• Comfortable in Unity, MS Office (particularly Excel) and Google Docs, Slides
• Comfortable with 2D, 3D and Project Management software (like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Jira, Trello)

• Have an active part in the production of a game – you will help create a product that will be played by millions!
• Create content that millions of players will enjoy every day
