Game Economy Design Internship

Based in Berlin, Europe's creative tech capital, our employees from 40 nations work together to develop top titles for a global audience. Working in independent teams, Wooga's signature approach to making great games for mobile has made us one of the world's most popular developers.

This exciting internship position, which is part of our Young Talent program, is open to students currently enrolled in university. The Economy Design Intern will work directly in a team in production of Wooga’s next simulation game for its casual audience. The individual will be an active member of the team entrusted with tasks to make a great game even better! 

Here you will contribute your existing economy design skills and constantly work to improve them through a combination of instructed training and hands-on experience. You will be able to bring in your own ideas and realize projects that will be played by millions of players all around the world.

• Build economic models of our game economies and game variables
• Architect and build simulation models to help predict player behaviors and patterns
• Help shape and define new features to ensure continuity in our live games and games in production
• Apply statistical methods to analyze quantitative data into actionable results

• Ideally, you are studying economics, game design, or similar
• You are currently enrolled in a university program and will continue to be enrolled for the entire duration of the internship
• You have at least 6 months time to dedicate to the internship
• You have an interest for casual games and their controlled environments

• You have a strong interest in statistical theory and mathematical statistics
• Knowledge of video games for the casual space; with special interest in simulation games
• Comfortable in Excel and/or Google Docs and/or with relevant statistics software
• Although you don’t need to come from a computer science background, it’s great if you’re able to script simulations!
• Comfortable with mid-size teams of various disciplines
• Interest in game deconstructions a plus
