After a number of successful puzzle hits, we here at Wooga want to make sure we continue to develop and produce some of the most exciting and unique levels in mobile match-3 games.


We are looking for an experienced Lead Game Designer who will join us to be responsible for designing and balancing levels and features for one of our biggest games, creating exciting new obstacles and objectives and making sure that our players have a challenging but rewarding game experience. In addition, you will be responsible for the career development of a team of game and level designers.



In this position your main responsibilities would be:


  • Work on a match-3 game with millions of installs.
  • Own the balancing and re-balancing of hundreds of levels.
  • Own the development of new features and iterate on the existing ones.
  • Manage a team of game designers, help them develop their careers, provide feedback and turn them into the next game design superstars.
  • Leverage your data-driven mindset to ensure that our players have an engaging, long-lasting and fun experience.
  • Create and test out level’s to prove mechanics and designs work and are optimised.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and artists to create new game modifiers appreciated by our most engaged players.
  • Analyzing data and metrics to adjust levels accordingly
  • Extensively testing game features in development and reporting bugs
  • Remaining ‘up-to-date’ on the casual puzzle game market and competitive titles.

Who are we looking for
  • You love to play and work on casual mobile games in the Puzzle and Arcade genres
  • You have played hundreds of casual puzzle game levels (e.g. Match-3) across multiple top grossing games
  • You understand, can deconstruct and analyze mechanics in free-to-play mobile games
  • You can visualize and present ideas in a comprehensive way
  • You have analytical capabilities and a sense of game pacing and balancing
  • You have the ability to effectively manage time and work efficiently
  • Puzzle design experience in a casual game (examples of shipped levels we can play)
  • You are constantly trying to improve your skills and willing to accept and provide constructive criticism
  • We need you to be an excellent team player, who fits into our multi-national and über-friendly team of awesome people
  • You have excellent communication skills in English
