At Wooga, the localization team strives to provide translations of the highest quality. As one of the team’s localization managers, you will make it possible for people around the world to enjoy our games. We are a small international team bringing our passion for languages and games together. Working in an agile environment allows us to constantly review and optimize our tools and processes, ensuring the same fun, natural experience in all languages we support.


What you’ll be doing
  • Managing the entire localization and LQA process of our games, emails, fan page posts, websites, and FAQs through various communication and management tools
  • Ensuring correct, consistent, and (most importantly) fun translations
  • Managing external vendors and freelancers to ensure we have the right partner for each project
  • Monitoring and measuring quality of translations
  • Creating style guides and briefs for external partners
  • Researching language trends and performance using internal and external databases
  • Analysing and presenting localization data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Using agile work methods for improved teamwork and quality
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders inside and outside the game teams to ensure effective collaboration
Who we are looking for
  • You can demonstrate several years of successfully simultaneously managing multiple projects within a localization or translation department
  • Ideally, you have gathered this experience in a company focused on mobile games or other form of mobile entertainment
  • Experience with outsource management
  • Knowledge of tools and processes in localization, e.g. Crowdin, MemoQ etc.
  • Passion and languages, their quirks, and national idiosyncrasies
  • You have an interest in games, particularly casual mobile games!
  • Working knowledge of two languages; Excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages used at Wooga would be a bonus!
  • Proactive mindset; you takes initiative and is hungry to learn
  • Fast learner and quick adapter, not afraid of change
Nice to have
  • Marketing experience which you can contribute to the greater publishing department
  • Understanding of the agile methodology
  • You are involved in the wider localization community (meetups, conferences, network events)
  • Previous experience as a translator or LQA tester
