Description

Houzz, the revolutionary platform for residential remodeling and design, is looking for an experienced SEO expert to help increase traffic, drive new user acquisition and revenue and grow the brand.

Responsibilities

Create and execute new strategies to grow organic traffic

Work with cross functional teams of analysts, content marketers, and engineers to complete search optimization efforts

Perform keyword research to optimize existing pages and create new pages

Apply best practices to ensure proper optimization of the site

Monitor projects to ensure changes to the site meet SEO standards

Identify and lead projects to correct SEO problems and opportunities

Stay current with the latest SEO updates and best practices

Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities and growth areas

Monitor and report on channel performance and specific initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3+ years of organic search experience

Experience across all SEO functional areas (content, keyword research, technical, site architecture, international, etc)

Track record of working on large enterprise sites to improve organic traffic

Strong technical SEO experience

Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (you don’t have to code but you should be comfortable looking at source code)

Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (ex: angular)

Experience in ecommerce, international search, and local search

Balance of creative and analytical mindset

Self starter

Detail oriented and strong communicator

Proficient Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, index/match, etc)

Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Search Console, xpath, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, mathematics, computer science, or related field
