Pre Series Center – Interiors / Exteriors Product Engineer

The candidate we are looking for will be responsible to follow and to influence the new product development from industrial area perspective in the Exteriors area, participating directly to the proto and pre-series assembly phases,will also be responsible for pre-series analysis and problem solving in the Interiors/Exteriors area.Hierarchically reports to the Head of Pre Series Center.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluation and influence of product assembly concepts and solutions, by working closer to the R&D Department during product development.

Participation to cross-functional meeting (SET/Fachteams) to align assembly and functional demands to emerging development/modification issues.

Analysis of pre-series product problems in the Interiors/Exteriors area, starting and driving problem solving process involving Quality, R&D, and Production, and including definition of possible backup solutions.

Direct participation to the proto assembly phase in development area.

Direct participation to the pre-series assembly phase in production as responsible for problem solving.

Collection, reporting and follow up of assembly complaints in Interiors/Exteriors area from virtual (DMU) phase, through proto, pre-series and series.

Strict cooperation with manufacturing engineering counterpart in definition and setup of specific assembly tooling.

EDUCATION

University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Automotive).

At least 4 - 5 years in a similar position in Automotive field.

Fluent English and Italian, German will be as a Plus.

Automotive Interiors/Exteriors components manufacturing;

Design and CAD skill are a plus.

Interfunctional attitude, effective communication skills and teamwork.

Good relational skills, objectives orientation, analysis and problem solving.

LOCATION

Sant’Agata Bolognese ( Bologna, Italy)

Willing to travel.
