We are looking for a Head of Content for our Team in Berlin!


Content marketing is a strong point to our commercial strategy. Babbel as a brand is ideally suited to this approach and in this role you will accelerate our efforts to acquire users we can monetize, leading and coaching a ten-person team composed of Editors & Content Optimizers.


We are looking for someone with a love of languages, on top of social trends, creative and with optimization expertise. The ideal candidate understands our high level strategy and business finance, is not afraid to dig into campaigns analysis, and will drive Babbel Magazine to an in-house publishing media.


You will be:
  • Responsible for developing and executing the international Babbel Magazine strategy as a user acquisition channel and publishing media with ROI target.
  • Leading, coaching and training a multidisciplinary team of (10) Content Editors and Content Discovery Optimizers, to develop creative content for brand building and direct-response marketing.
  • Forecasting short and mid-term global and local performance KPIs as well as monitoring and reporting campaign and channel’s performance.
  • Developing short and mid-term activities, content generation and communication plans through your editorial calendar.
  • Running ongoing analysis and data-mining to gain insights, assess against goals and find growth potential.
  • Developing efficient workflows to actively collaborate with teams across the organization and externally to scale content production, distribution via Content Discovery Networks and achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Driving experimentation and innovation (marketing, technical and technological) to maximize performance of your channel.
  • Building and managing commercial relationships and partner with key industry players and vendors.
You are:
  • A storyteller with a performance mindset: you're as comfortable with Business Finance, Campaign Optimization as with Creative Ideation & Content Production.
  • A pragmatic optimist with open-minded and curiosity for learning languages
You have:
  • Proven experience of a similar position for 4 years with demonstrable advanced channel expertise.
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient English language skills
Nice to have:
  • Copy-writing and SEO grounding experience are a plus
