This is a full time role, based in the heart of buzzing Berlin.

We are looking for an Instructional Designer who will define the way language is taught digitally to learners everywhere.

An Instructional Designer at Babbel drives the vision of how we teach languages with our wildly popular web, Android and iPhone applications. You will design learning experiences that bring a human touch to digital education.

You will be

• Creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective, and appealing
• Determining the state and needs of the learner
• Defining the goals of instruction
• Driving the design and development of educational experience and content from the overarching outline of the material, through drafting and coordinating content creation
• Working together with a cross-functional team of product managers, product designers and engineers to define how we will express the educational experience and brand visually, creatively and digitally
• Helping define the processes, tools and operations by which we scale production of educational materials
• Continuously inspire and inform our team of new opportunities for online learning, instruction and didactical approaches

   You are

• A talented instructional designer who has created educational materials for use in digital environments
• An energetic and enthusiastic teaching expert
• A great communicator who can express his/her thoughts well in English

You have

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Linguistics or equivalent
• Experience in designing educational materials for Android, iOS and web apps
• Experience in teaching languages
• Excellent English skills, further foreign languages are a plus

Nice to have

• Expertise using industry-leading design and prototyping software
• Experience in working with agile development
