“Videos! Videos! Videos!” We shout that every morning over coffee. Ok, maybe not. But we do love videos. Especially stories and content that reach, help and grab the attention of language learners worldwide. That’s why we have our own in-house video production team.

Beat, Babbel's Creative Services Team, is seeking an experienced Line Producer (Team Lead) who will lead a team of video producers/editors and motion designers.


In this role you will collaborate closely with the Production Manager and internal stakeholders to produce memorable videos for marketing channels (such as Babbel Magazine and social media). You will also be expected to lead and grow a team of video producers/editors and be responsible for providing them with guidance and leadership in order to achieve planned results.


You are an experienced team lead and an efficient producer who stays calm under pressure, has great problem solving and negotiation skills, you also have passion for organisation. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues (including video producers/editors, visual designers, copywriters and translators)  and managing the input of stakeholders. You are able to push through ideas and aren’t scared of challenges. Your role:


  • Lead a team of video producers/editors to create beautiful and authentic human stories
  • Give and receive critical feedback in a team environment
  • Act as a point of contact for project requesters and stakeholders
  • Work with the Production Manager to scope, plan, schedule and monitor the progress of video projects from concept through delivery
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, feedback and approvals throughout production process
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget while maintaining a high-quality bar
  • Manage relationships with vendors, scout locations and organise shoots
  • Recruit and manage freelancers and external crew members
  • Organise castings to recruit models and actors
  • Manage legal contracts and supply all parties involved with the necessary documents (e.g. release forms)

Required:


  • You have an eye for creativity, you are able to recognise a strong piece of creative and foster creativity in the team and among stakeholders
  • Experience recruiting, managing and mentoring a team
  • 5+ years work experience in a related field of video/film/documentary production
  • Experience planning, coordinating and overseeing video projects, from pre- through post-production
  • Experience managing project budgets
  • Ability to work well under pressure and get things done, go-getter attitude
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English and German
  • Great people skills to inspire and challenge the team

Nice to haves:


  • You have a network of contact among directors, editors, institutions, production studios etc.
  • Experience as Videographer
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects etc)
  • Experience in developing content for social media as well as longer video forms
  • General knowledge of legal aspects around filming
