We're looking for a tech-savvy growth hacker to join our team as Junior Product Manager in our offices in New York City.

About the Role:


The Junior Product Manager will be responsible for helping the US Product Manager carry out “growth hack” initiatives to drive sales and margin growth in the US. You will also be part of the team supporting the “Babbel Magazine,” our content blog focused on language-learning and culture.


Specific Duties Include:


  • Assist the US Product Manager in the Agile development process, defining the scope, technical requirements, and priority of new marketing initiatives
  • Work with marketers, engineers, data analysts, and third-parties vendors to integrate new marketing tools and resolve any reporting discrepancies
  • Research and assess 3rd-party product solutions to support marketing goals
  • Own key stakeholder relationships with both NYC & Berlin-based teams
  • Be first line of support for products managed the US engineering team

We’re Looking for Experience in:


  • HTML/CSS/Javascript and debugging technical issues in these areas
  • HTTP protocol and the browser DOM
  • Performing data analysis, using spreadsheets, SQL or other tools
  • JIRA, Trello, or other ticketing systems for agile software development
  • Using third-party marketing tools such as Google Tag Manager (bonus)

Key Job Requirements:


  • A university degree (Business Administration or Computer Science preferred) or relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Multilingualism is a plus; interest in language learning is a must
  • Worked in education or edtech previously (bonus)
  • A good understanding of online marketing (bonus)
