We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to join our Team in Berlin!

In your role as a Senior Mobile Engineer, your mission will be to change the future of language learning while working in a challenging environment. Working together with ambitious colleagues, you will be collaborating and diving into different disciplines to broaden your knowledge in other fields of expertise as well as share your own. You will contribute to a great architecture and build the base of an easily extendable and well maintainable application.

You will:

• Design, build, ship, and maintain components for the #1 top-grossing language learning app globally
• Help to stabilise the recent extension of our mobile tech stack by developing in React Native and improving its integration into the existing native mobile apps
• Work in an agile environment in close collaboration with Product Designers and language learning experts
• Contribute to the evolution of our engineering practices (both team internal and across teams)
• Guide and mentor less experienced engineers

You have

• Four or more years of professional experience in developing, shipping, and maintaining native Android or iOS apps
• Experience with Kotlin for Android or Swift for iOS
• Strong interest in developing mobile apps with React Native
• Experience in development with ReactJs or React Native is a plus
• Experience in integrating React Native components into existing native mobile apps is a strong plus
• Deep understanding and practical experience working with agile software development practices
• Experience in providing technical mentorship to less experienced engineers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
