 We are looking for a Senior Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join our Team in Berlin!

Our agile delivery teams work in full-stack feature teams from product management to engineering. While transitioning our product to the new generation of language learning we are enforcing our teams with engineers capable to bring QA engineering practices (incl. test automation) to the next level.

In your role as a Senior Mobile Test Automation Engineer, your mission will be to structure high quality test automation code and increase efficiency and quality with passion for agile testing and its methodologies.

You are:

• Communicative and comfortable moderating dialogues and managing conflicts
• Confident in driving architectural decisions
• Passionate about lean and agile practices

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 year in mobile apps test automation
• Deep knowledge of iOS/Android development and iOS/Android QA testing experience
• Experience with Espresso/XCUITest
• Experience troubleshooting mobile application issues across multiple Android/iOS versions and handset models
• Extensive experience in continuous integration and the use of device or browser farms
• Excellent understanding of Agile testing and Gherkin
• Proficiency in long term maintenance of complex code bases and the handling of legacy code
• Experience with REST-based APIs
• Excellent command of English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Jira
• ISTQB®Agile Tester Certificate or equivalent certification in testing

 You will:

• Deliver high quality test automation solutions in short sprint cycles (design, implement, improve and maintain)
• Set up development, test, and production environments within an elaborate microservice landscape
• Build, maintain, and take on ownership of complex software modules independently
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive informed API and architectural decisions
• Maintain a good overview of the overall technology stack and infrastructure
• Survey and shape coding guidelines and quality standards
• Manage technical debt and critically reflect on our technology, architecture, and past projects
• Independently focus on continuous learning and improvement and drive the evolution of our engineering practices
• Support the career development of junior and professional engineers by mentoring and coaching them
