We are looking for a Visual Designer Intern/Working Student for our Team in Berlin!

In this role, you will be either a talented student or recent graduate in graphic design looking for a new challenge. Your mission will be to assist with photo selection and manipulation for our language learning products.

You will  

• Select photographs for use in Babbel products that match didactic requirements and visual design guidelines
• Modify the photographs to ensure that they meet stylistic and quality requirements
• Create compelling visual experiences for educational software
• Produce illustrations and other artwork as required by the Product Design team
• Animate illustrations or other designs as needed
• Assist the Product Design team with asset preparation for icons, graphical storytelling, and more
• Update the Product Design team’s graphical and UI guidelines with new content

You are

• In-progress or have just completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design  
• A great communicator who can express his/her thoughts well in English
• Able to produce beautiful, compelling imagery that is intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use for millions of people around the world

You have

• Prowess with searching for imagery for use in visual design compositions
• Skill with Sketch, Adobe Photoshop and/or other industry-leading design software
• An outstanding portfolio demonstrating your graphic design ability, problem solving skills and superior attention to detail   

Nice to have

• Illustration ability
• Motion design and/or animation ability
• Experience working with web or mobile based technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android Studio, XCode, etc.
