Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sponsorship Sales will work in close partnership with colleagues to help drive the achievement of revenues and identify new opportunities and partners; establish strong partnerships and effective relationships at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.  The candidate should bring with them a network of people and brands from non-endemic business, and couple this with a deep understanding and proven track record in securing strong partnership revenues in esports, traditional sports, media or entertainment. A strong pro-active approach to sales is essential, the successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of managing and activating brand partnerships and understands the structuring of multi layered sponsorship packages.   
Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the sponsorship sales revenue to ensure targets are met year on year. 
  • Aid in the development of commercial strategies including sponsor attraction with full accountability of new business development, partner management and new revenue stream generation. 
  • Negotiating commercial terms and concluding sponsorship agreements and ensure the appropriate drafting of contracts for the sale of sponsorship packages. 
  • Team management: recruiting, training, motivating and leading a commercial team/department in line with company growth. 
  • Advise internal stakeholders of all material developments within the commercial area and recommend action or additional resources required to meet strategic goals.
  • Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the business at all times.

    As part of a small but growing design team you will have the opportunity to work on lots of exciting and varying projects, where you’ll have a chance to define our new design direction. 
    The Role
    We’re looking for someone who can pick up projects and run with them, you’ll be working closely with a small design team and lead designer but you’ll need to be comfortable flying solo, start to finish.
    Your day to day will be designing for a product that is used by millions of gamers around the world. You will play a big part in defining our new design system and pushing the product to a wider audience across more platforms and devices.
    You’ll be interacting with players all the time. Our players inform where we are going and validate our decisions, so you will listen to their needs and find the best solution.
    We use Figma for all our UI work and some of our prototyping. Other tools in our stack include Surveymonkey, Lookback and Mixpanel. We’re quick to adopt new tools and have the freedom to change quickly, so you’ll be more than welcome to contribute to our processes.

  • Product Assessment: Assess the needs of the esports property at every stage of the process from conception to execution and post launch sustain;
  • Reporting: Be responsible for assessing and tracking KPIs of each product – usually viewership;
  • Marketing Campaigns: Working with the marketing department to ensure campaigns are impactful and cost efficient, and oversee and monitor their execution;
  • Budgets: Responsible for creating a budget and ensuring that product remains within that budget;
  • Market Knowledge: Embed and maintain a knowledge of the community that participates within that product;
  • Staff: Work as a lynchpin member of the media team, monitoring different departments delivery dates and work loads;
  • Scheduling: Each step of the production and marketing process must be appropriately planned and overseen.
