Responsibilities
  • Manage and expand relationships with existing restaurants and proactively identify further new business opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed on weekly and monthly KPIs
  • Maintain and grow the revenue and gross profit of each account
  • Keep the platform fresh by implementing creative marketing initiatives
  • Construct and negotiate commercial offers which meet expectations of foodpanda, restaurants and the customer
  • Understand and optimise seasonal fluctuations
  • Work with internal support functions to ensure that every deal that goes live on the platform meets quality standards
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the foodpanda business model and the online food ordering market
  • Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience within an Account Management role preferable
  • Proven track record of Account Management or Territory Sales with B2B sales experience, preferably in any of the following areas: media, recruitment, advertising, and e-commerce
  • Excellent communication skills, must have a consultative sales approach and be a strong persuader and influencer
  • Strong relationship builder, has a positive attitude and is a team player
  • Highly driven, is self-motivated, target oriented, resilient and tenacious
  • Customer focused, enjoys working autonomously, hits the ground running and demonstrates a willingness to learn

    We are currently looking to hire a Business Development Intern for our Malaysia Team!

    This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will report directly to the Global Head of Content and start as soon as possible.

    What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for the content put online and presented to our customers.
  • Lead the massive Recruitment effort that we need to perform hiring Agents across various languages and content functions
  • Develop a great spirit for the content function (through team building events, promotion of the right people or working on retention)
  • Lead a span of about 15-30 content associates.
  • People management & stakeholder management,
  • Managing the productivity and quality output across countries as per the agreed and defined targets.
  • Capacity planning and providing timelines to volume by managing resources / infrastructure, queue, shift management, cross training.
  • Work closely with the Account Managers, Sales Rep and POCs of different countries to ensure changes communicated are completed in a timely manner and feedback is acted upon timely.
  • Ensuring a learning organization; addressing training needs from time to time and ensuring the team gains from each day at work.
  • Setting up the “Audit process” for live and non-live vendors
  • Weekly feedbacks/one-on-one to make sure we are building an institution (work-friendly)
  • Weekly “Scorecard” shared with each team member along with the points to improve both personally and professionally
  • Discussing complicated menus to ensure that we learn from our mistakes
  • Monitoring requests and ensuring timely resolution; being responsive to escalations and facilitating appropriate solutions
  • Requirements:

  • Outstanding drive, a passion to lead changes and loads of energy
  • Ambitions to work independently with flexibility, entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable working in unstructured and fast changing environment
  • High sense of urgency and geared toward results
  • Salesforce experience is an added advantage
  • Advanced excel skills wouldn’t hurt either!

    What you’ll do:
    • Work directly with Global Operations in Berlin and local management team to drive massive changes to the Shared Service Center of Kuala Lumpur.
    • Full responsibility for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) guideline creation, documentation and full mapping across all business functions: Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Finance, etc. A full holistic view of the company’s operations.
    • Lead analytical work including creation of automated dashboard to monitor performance.
    • Ensure adequate internal procedures and controls are in place with checks and balances.
