Summary

We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join our Servicing & Collections team in Downtown Denver. You will be responsible for contacting customers with delinquent accounts, initiating appropriate action, maintaining records, and providing a high level of customer service to help our customers get back on track. You will be part of an innovative Services Collections and Recoveries team developing best practices & processes.

As a Collections Specialist you will:
  • Review status of delinquent accounts and initiate action, which would include notifying customers of delinquent status based on due date, prepare correspondence for special handling, and skip tracing
  • Communicate and coordinate customer account information to a variety of departments and participate in weekly/monthly meetings to report status on assigned delinquent accounts
  • Follow up on undeliverable mail, and research disputed delinquent account balances, then correct any errors, including misapplied payments, reversed late charges, direct deposit errors, and overpayment errors
  • Negotiate and process ACH payments, while setting up payment plans to bring accounts current
  • Who are you?
  • Excellent Customer Service/Satisfaction skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in lending/customer service/sales/collections, preferably in a call center environment
  • Ability to quickly identify issues, and has worked in an established framework, and raise quickly to supervisor
  • Deadline oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and directly contact a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Thrives in a strong culture of open communication, teamwork, curiosity to make things better, getting things done, and brings their passion to work

    You will provide outstanding customer services, essential information and onboarding support to our Investors (current count is 77,000 individual investors globally!).

    This dynamic role will see you think quick on your feet to tackle and analyse simple queries to complex requests. There is no better place to learn the business inside out and understand the service we provide as peer-to-peer lenders.

    What will I be doing?

  • First point of contact for Retail Investor queries via phone and email
  • Responsible for delivering excellence to our wide range of investors - you will speak to people investing their pensions, keen investors with a passion for FinTech, HNWI individuals, just to name a few examples
  • Conducting regular operational tasks e.g. investor KYC checks
  • Collaborating closely with the Investor Support team to improve processes and control procedures
  • Liaising with other departments to answer detailed queries
  • Dealing with and recording complaints and escalations
  • What will I bring to the role?

  • Native or close to native Dutch language skills 
  • 6-24 months experience in customer service is ideal for this junior role (however we are happy to consider applications from all experience levels!)
  • Smart, enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Some experience working in a phone based environment and an excellent phone manner
  • Able to connect easily with others and demonstrate natural interpersonal skills
  • Good experience in explaining complex products and services to consumers
  • You will 'think smart' to creatively suggest changes to in order to improve efficiency and impact
  • Adept at dealing with and resolving complex queries
  • Ability to manage time effectively and capable at multi-tasking
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel beneficial

    As an Information Security Engineer you will…

  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and IT teams to produce systems that are inherently secure
  • Find security vulnerabilities in our infrastructure, raise them with the affected teams, and advise them on how best to mitigate them
  • Train development, infrastructure, and IT teams on security best practices
  • Properly balance security risk against the other needs of the business
  • Triage issues found by tools, external reports, and various tests, to accurately assess the real risks
  • Manage penetration testing engagements on our infrastructure
  • You’ve been there and done this…

  • 2+ years experience in an infrastructure security role, or a role that works closely with infrastructure security
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Security or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with various forms of encryption and hashing, and their appropriate use cases
  • Hands-on experience in IaaS (preferably Amazon Web Services), including Identity and Access Management roles
  • Strong understanding of network security techniques
  • Experience with infrastructure threat modeling and secure design
  • Strong understanding of the OWASP Top Ten
  • Ability to independently prioritise multiple competing tasks
  • Ability to participate in occasional off-hours handling of security incidents
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with other technical teams
