Quando i fondatori Adi e Alon dovevano ristrutturare la loro casa, hanno cominciato come spesso iniziano questi progetti: con un'alta pila di riviste, indirizzi e appunti su professionisti e case e con consigli di persone affidabili. Quando da quei mucchi di pagine non è emerso nulla di interessante in grado di trasformare il loro sogno in realtà si sono sentiti bloccati. Ci doveva essere un modo migliore. About the RoleThe advertising quality team works on algorithms that can influence fundamental business metrics in a significant way. You will be working with a small team of engineers who are responsible for algorithms that connect homeowners, who are looking for help with their remodeling project, to the right home remodeling professionals at the right time. You will also be focused on ensuring that home remodeling professionals that advertise on the platform are getting the right ROI.
What You'll Do

  • Design and implement the next generation of systems for advertising inventory forecasting, booking and pacing
  • Research and develop new algorithms to improve advertising relevance and quality, primarily focused around homeowner and home remodeling professional connections
  • Define key success metrics, design and run A/B experiments
  • Work in a small, collaborative team with back-end engineers, front-end engineers, designers and product managers to bring new ideas to life

  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

  • A M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or a related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of machine learning, probability, statistics and data mining
  • Self-direction, independence and experience owning complete features and products
  • Good coding skills with at least one common object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, PHP and C++

  • Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Experience working on advertising quality, pacing and forecasting models

    About the RoleHouzz, the revolutionary platform for residential remodeling and design, is looking for a consumer marketer to help increase traffic, drive customer acquisition, revenue and long term engagement.  This role will be focussed on scaling marketing activities on social and display platforms tied to our eCommerce marketplace, which is one of Houzz’s biggest businesses.

    What You'll Do

  • Create and optimize paid social and display marketing campaigns
  • Provide insights on campaign performance and propose new strategies to scale social marketing
  • Manage social and display budget across platforms and campaigns to maximize long term ROI
  • Create strong partnerships with our eCommerce product team and advocate for changes that increase performance of acquired traffic

  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

  • 3-5 years of consumer marketing experience, with at least 2 years managing paid social campaigns driving eCommerce revenue 
  • Experience managing budgets of hundreds of thousands monthly
  • Strong fundamentals on messaging and targeting

    About the RoleHouzz is looking for a world-class BI Engineer to join our analysts in the Growth and SEO team. Our mission is to assist Houzz’s product growth and engagement initiatives across our desktop site and mobile experience with data-driven insights. Our team is working on discovering information hidden in vast amounts of data in order to make intelligent business decisions and to deliver better products. Critical projects will focus on data-driven insights that guide product development and business direction.

    What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with analytics, data infrastructure, engineering and product teams to deliver reliable data used to make data-driven decisions
  • Gather requirements and build new solutions to solve the pain points of analysts and developers
  • Drive the improvement of data structures, tools and reporting/dashboard infrastructure that drive insights for consumer and SEO initiatives  
  • Help build and continually improve ongoing data pipelines and automate or simplify self-service support for our business stakeholders

  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in a technical or quantitative discipline or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data ETL, business intelligence or a similar role
  • A passion for and a track record of leveraging data in user product experience, preferably also in a mobile device environment
  • Advanced SQL Skills; an ability to write complex and performant queries and data pipelines
  • Expertise in data warehousing best practices
  • Experience working with and structuring raw clickstream, session and app event data
  • Experience with modern data technology including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, NoSQL data stores, key-value stores, etc.
  • Independence, self-direction and an ability to deliver quality results
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

    We are looking for a designer to join our tight-knit team and create eye-catching content for our online marketing presence. You will have ownership over a variety of projects from conceptualization to execution and set the tone for Houzz and our subsidiary brand, Ivy.

    What You'll Do

  • Oversee the creation of content for Houzz and our subsidiary brand Ivy
  • Devise marketing strategies and manage execution for social accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other potential emerging social channels
  • Conceptualize creative and inspiring ad concepts for multiple mediums including web, mobile, video and print while reflecting the brand’s personality and driving key performance metrics
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with strong digital media/content 
  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (Figma, Sketch is a plus)
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, aesthetic and typography skills, including digital ad campaigns that show your mastery of social media strategy on a variety of platforms

  • Experience with modern distributed data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Teradata, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries; you should feel comfortable using aggregate functions, window functions and all types of joins
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to work independently and deliver quality results
  • Experience developing dashboards with reporting tools such as Tableau

  • Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Experience scripting in languages such as Python
  • A M.S. degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, etc.
