Our sales team strives to help architects, designers, builders and other home renovation professionals showcase their work to our community. By applying our technology to build their brands, Houzz helps them grow their networks and collaborate with real, potential clients.
We are looking for a hands on Team Leader to lead and coach our Account Management team, who are helping home design professionals optimize their Houzz profile and program with creative improvements, up-selling them on additional services, and managing their renewal for another year. You need to be comfortable promoting and defending the benefits of a creative and directional advertising program.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage Houzz clients, maintaining ongoing contact with every account assigned to you, renewing accounts and providing quality client service.
  • Lead, mentor and develop your team, communicating regularly with your manager to identify challenges and monitor the team’s performance.
  • Answer team member questions and strategise for client conversations.
  • Host team meetings to share best practices and reinforce expectations and priorities.
  • Creatively inspire and motivate others by coordinating team activity & focus areas.
  • Maintain monthly 1-1s with each team member to discuss performance, career development and well being.
  • Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training.
  • Requirements:
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, fluently bilingual in Japanese and English.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills, you enjoy talking with people in-person and over the phone.
  • 3-4 years previous B2B sales or inside sales experience, with at least 1-2 years of team management experience.
  • Excellent multi-tasker with the ability to maintain a long-term, broader vision while facing short-term, daily tasks.
  • Strong computer skills (proficiency in Excel is required, proficiency is Salesforce is a strong plus).
  • Enthusiasm about change and eagerness to work in a very dynamic startup environment.
  • Entrepreneurial & extremely proactive mindset.
  • Proven track record of delivering and hitting targets under pressure, able to remain calm and think on your feet in stressful situations.
