Houzz is looking for a motivated, analytical, organised, and high-character E-commerce Operations Assistant to join our International Marketplace team in Berlin. This individual should be prepared to work in a fast-paced and international team environment, and should also be enthusiastic about gaining knowledge in various aspects of e-commerce. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within a business that is reshaping the home design and renovation industry around the world.
We’re looking for a new or recent graduate (or a career changer!) who loves to connect and help others, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is a self-starter that will roll up their sleeves no matter what the task, and is super tech-savvy.
The ideal candidate for this position will love working in a team and in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This individual will consistently remain calm under pressure, have excellent prioritisation skills and can convert challenging situations into positive experiences.
As an Operations Assistant you will support our Supply Chain and Logistics department and will be a primary point of contact for administrative tasks and daily shipment follow-up. This position will also require you to be analytical with a keen eye for details, as you will also support the Operations team in regards to financial and invoicing checks and follow-up. Finally, you will support projects such as the implementation of new cross-functional processes and 3rd party partners integration.
What You’ll Do:
  • Assist Logistics team by supporting vendor and customer needs, and work on day-to-day logistics tasks and consignment follow-ups
  • Prepare, send and control Houzz Logistics documentation to/with suppliers for invoicing and custom declaration purposes
  • Manage the invoice auditing and submission process
  • Check, monitor and flag discrepancies in our partner’s reporting
  • Build internal Excel tools and reports for cross-department use and analysis
  • Analyse external partner’s KPIs
  • Maintain and update daily reports
  • Manage claims process with third party carriers
  • At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have:
  • University degree, ideally in relevant subject such as Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other related topic
  • Ability to multi-task and knows how to prioritize
  • Strong organisational skills gained from previous work experience - we want someone with drive to succeed
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in business English required
  • Be eager to learn and curious - you love challenges!
  • Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You will be using Excel every day, so you must like it!
  • Good with numbers and highly analytical - we love numbers on this team!
  • Possess a passion for administrative and logistics tasks.
  • Consistently accurate and thorough; you don’t miss any details and are always reliable with your tasks
  • Ability to persevere in high-pressure situations while still finding effective solutions
  • Strong interest in e-commerce: previous work experience within e-commerce is a big plus
