Houzz is looking for freelance translators to remotely work with our European Marketplace team. These individuals should be prepared to work with a fast-paced team, delivering translated and SEO-optimized English texts for our e-commerce site. Original texts will be provided by brands and vendors in the following languages: Italian, French, Swedish, Danish, German, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Russian and Japanese.

Position Responsibilities

Translate, copy and optimize texts related to products to be sold on our e-commerce website.

Data check quality for each product to guarantee there is no mismatching between products and photos. Original texts will be provided by vendors in the following languages: Italian, French, Swedish, Danish, German, Spanish, English and Portuguese and need to be translated into either US or UK English.

Requirements

English mother tongue, bilingual in one of the following languages is a plus: Italian, French, Swedish, Danish, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Japanese.

Graduate from an international school of translation and interpreting in one of the above mentioned languages.

Basic SEO knowledge.

AdWords knowledge.

Experience working with Google Drive, in particular with Google sheets.

Social media and tech-savvy.

Highly detail-oriented and accurate: doesn’t miss the details and doesn't drop the ball with tasks.

E-commerce experience is a plus.

Bonus points if you are enthusiastic and passionate about design furniture and architecture.
