This is a fantastic opportunity to join our successful marketplace team in Berlin as an International Supply Chain Lead for a full-time position. The role will cover International Supply Chain implementation, management and optimisation, together with Supplier Management assessment and monitoring. Collaboration with the warehousing and final-mile logistics teams is key. It is essential that candidates have experience in that field, are detailed-oriented, analytical, extremely reliable and show a lot of initiative.
In this role, you will manage and structure the Logistics and Supply Chain department through the goals and targets set by you and the management team. You will work alongside our Supplier Operations, Compliance, Buying and Merchandising departments to ensure our KPIs and shipping plans are met. You will be responsible for the delivery of the International Transport plan and creating efficiencies with the management of your department’s P&L. You will support the different teams and stakeholders by providing comprehensive data and a supply chain model, building trust and relationships with logistics and other external partners. You will report to our Managing Director of Operations, constantly striving to improve and optimise the Houzz supply chain model.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage and Operate all export & import bookings for freight shipments and support our carriers and freight forwarders operations and commercial relationships
  • Implement the International Transport Strategy: organize and lead partner negotiation, set SLAs, KPIs and SOP reviews and implementation
  • Control, monitor and optimise full-landed logistics costs
  • Manage, support, drive and accompany your team towards the achievement of the company’s goals
  • Build intelligence models to consolidate, optimise and improve resources and costs
  • Liaise with our International Supply Chain providers
  • Make sure compliance and financial requirements are addressed, respected and followed
  • Coordinate with our US operations for constant and efficient integrations and industrialisations
  • Support our Buying/Sourcing and Compliance team across different countries
  • Support the inbound warehouse operations and analysis
  • Perform various tasks to support company initiatives and goals as assigned by management
  • Promote a positive office culture and environment
  • At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
  • Distinguished yourself within one of the top-tier International freight or logistics company (minimum of 4 years of experience in this industry)
  • Relevant experience in the International Freight Management or Supply Chain Operational procedures
  • Experience in warehousing or fulfillment or deconsolidation centers
  • Experience in Supplier Management and/or Quality Management
  • Passion for numbers, strong analytical skills & knowledge of financial analyses
  • Hands-on attitude and be comfortable with top-tier partner negotiations
  • Proven track record of leading/managing a team
  • Passion for supporting, empowering and accompanying a team on their journey to success
  • Excellent communication skills and be highly focused on details
  • Very good understanding of the E-Commerce environment
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Google apps and features
  • Flexibility, adaptability and capacity to organise and prioritize your own workload
  • Professional level of English (any other language being a competitive advantage)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to build and closely follow a process
  • Able to produce consistently good results under pressure
  • Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Previous experience with Asian suppliers/shipping lines or logistics partners considered as a big plus
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis for business related activity
