We are looking for a full-time, highly organized, passionate and energetic Office Operations Manager to support our fast growing international team in London. In line with our start-up culture, it is imperative that any candidate has a willingness to always be ready to assist outside their direct responsibilities and is adept at working proactively, using their initiative in every area of their role and is able to work across multiple projects with changing priorities while maintaining a cheerful and fun attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the office operations, office team, strategic development, execution, and office budget for the London Office
  • Responsible for creation of office processes and management of the correct implementation
  • Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation.
  • Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace
  • Manage, plan and execute employee events.
  • Responsible for day-to-day building facilities management staff as well as maintaining direct relationship with the FM team and support to the service providers
  • Lead in design and execution of the London Office strategy and ensure a consistent and cohesive narrative for the employee experience in London
  • Handle equipment procurement and manage IT inventory including managing relationship with IT service provider and staff
  • Act as the main point of contact in vendor relationship management including negotiating contracts and agreements with relevant providers
  • Requirements
  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • Management experience is required
  • Experience in negotiation of contracts
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced startup environment
  • Facilities, Safety and Security knowledge
  • Experience managing and maintaining productive relationships with multiple vendors
  • Desire to contribute to Houzz’s reputation, growth, culture and success
  • Warm, confident and positive approach to work
  • Magnetic personality, a sense of humor and ability to adapt to change
  • Experience providing highly administrative support in a startup environment is a plus
