About the Role

The advertising quality team works on algorithms that can influence fundamental business metrics in a significant way. You will be working with a small team of engineers who are responsible for algorithms that connect homeowners, who are looking for help with their remodeling project, to the right home remodeling professionals at the right time. You will also be focused on ensuring that home remodeling professionals that advertise on the platform are getting the right ROI.

What You'll Do

Design and implement the next generation of systems for advertising inventory forecasting, booking and pacing

Research and develop new algorithms to improve advertising relevance and quality, primarily focused around homeowner and home remodeling professional connections

Define key success metrics, design and run A/B experiments

Work in a small, collaborative team with back-end engineers, front-end engineers, designers and product managers to bring new ideas to life

At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

A M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or a related engineering discipline

Knowledge of machine learning, probability, statistics and data mining

Self-direction, independence and experience owning complete features and products

Good coding skills with at least one common object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, PHP and C++

Ideally, You'll Also Have

3+ years of industry experience

Experience working on advertising quality, pacing and forecasting models
