About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, smart, creative, sales leader with a proven track record of top sales and management performance. You must be hands-on sales leader who rolls up your sleeves every day, showing them how it is done. You’ll lead a team of about 10-15 outbound telephone Sales Development Representatives for our Irvine sales office.  Your team will schedule calls and product demonstrations between Houzz professionals and Account Executives across the U.S and Canada. You’ll have the chance to hire and build your sales team in addition to leading some from our current team, working in a fun, innovative, world class, high-performance work environment.
What You’ll Do
  • Actively coach and counsel your team on a weekly basis
  • Listen in on and participate in calls and provide post call coaching
  • Conduct weekly one-on-ones to review activity and performance
  • Prepare and lead team meetings
  • Ensure a high performing, energized, Sales Development team that proudly represents the Houzz brand
  • Exemplify strong Houzz “can do” attitude to ensure a positive and professional work environment
  • Perform additional leadership duties as requested or required 
  • At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have:
  • 2+ years of prior sales management experience of a top-performing sales team
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, SEM, and other online advertising options
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and performance-management
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, having sold and taught a consultative, yet deliberate sales approach
  • Strong platform training and one-on-one coaching skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced work environment with the ability to adapt quickly to new processes 
  • Excellent references from sales reps that have served under you, and senior leaders you have reported to. 
  • Previous use of CRM tools, i.e. Salesforce.com
  • Fluid with Excel/MS Office or Google Docs
  • Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • 2+ years of sales experience in advertising preferred
  • Current leadership experience
  • Sales training background
  • Telephone Sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree
