About the Role

We are hiring a Senior General Ledger Accountant who will be a key member of the Accounting team and will be hands-on in supporting the company’s month-end and day-to-day accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for fixed assets accounting, accruals, expense allocations, financial reporting/fluxes, close activities, reconciling general ledger accounts and participating in special projects within the Accounting team.

What You'll Do

Prepare and record asset, liability and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for the US entities for accruals, fixed assets, payroll accounting, expense allocations and other areas

In charge of fixed asset accounting, including, but not limited to, reconciling FA sub-ledger to GL, preparing fixed assets roll-forward schedule and fixed assets inventory reconciliation

Maintain and reconcile monthly assigned balance sheet and P&L accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions as well as resolving discrepancies

Help with the monthly financial close process. Prepare financial reporting/fluctuation analysis in the areas of responsibility

Develop and enforce proper accounting policies, processes and procedures within the department and the company

Prepare schedules and reports for month-end reporting and/or tax purposes, as well as schedules for external auditors for the financial statement audit process and as needed

Provide technical guidance to other less experienced accountants. Assist with various special projects

Partner with international and cross-functional teams on key areas of responsibility

Escalate issues and recommendations to management as appropriate

At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

An undergraduate degree in Accounting and a solid understanding of general accounting concepts

The ability to proficiently perform professional level accounting research, analysis, reconciliation, financial and accounting reporting

At least 5 years of relevant experience

A team-oriented mindset and solid communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn and a willingness to take on new challenges

Research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work with others and follow through to execute all tasks

High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Word)

Ideally, You'll Also Have

A CPA license

Familiarity with Blackine, accounting reconciliation tool

Experience with NetSuite or similar cloud based accounting software applications
